Tri-County Crime Stoppers is offering an enhanced reward of “up to $ 5,000” for information leading to the arrest and formal charging of the person or persons responsible for any of the following unsolved murders in the tri-county area.

Herbert Fromelt, Sr

HERBERT FROMELT, SR.

Information is wanted regarding Herbert Fromelt’s homicide on August 3, 1994. Mr. Fromelt (age 82) was found in his home having died from stab wounds. Law enforcement agencies and the family are requesting help in solving this homicide. 

Damien Maurice Tapper

DAMIEN MAURICE TAPPER (no photo available)

On November 1st, 2000, a drive-by shooting occurred on University Drive just west of the University Bridge.  Damien Maurice Tapper (age 22) was driving eastbound at the time he was shot.  Witnesses report the shots came from another moving vehicle, also driving eastbound.

DOUGLAS LANE COPPER

On September 30th, 2005, Douglas Lane Copper (age 48) was found injured in the 3700 block of 3rd Street North, Saint Cloud, MN.  Copper was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital and died of his injuries a few days later.

LA'DARIAN D'VONTE BROADNAX

On July 20th, 2019, La’Darian D’Vonte Broadnax (age 24) was shot as he was driving a vehicle in the alley of the 300 block of 4th Avenue South.  It is believed this incident occurred as the result of a fight at a party nearby.

MARENIO WILLIAM KENNEDY

On December 16th, 2020, Marenio William Kennedy (age 21) was shot in an apartment in the 4000 block of 24th Street South in Saint Cloud, MN.  It is not believed to be a random incident.

Mary Reker & Susan Reker

MARY REKER and SUSAN REKER

On Labor Day weekend 1974, Mary Reker (age 15) and her sister Susan Reker (age 12) left their family residence in the City of St. Cloud on foot enroute to Zayre Shopper City where they told their parents that they intended to do some school shopping. They never returned home and were subsequently reported missing.

Zayre Shopper City was located at 33rd Avenue and Division Street; part of the building is currently occupied by Save-A-Lot in the Plaza West Shopping Center.

On September 28, 1974, the bodies of Mary and Susan Reker were discovered in a quarry area west of Waite Park. Both died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Myrtle Vera Cole

MYRTLE VERA COLE

On December 12, 1981, Myrtle Cole (age 81) was found dead as a result of multiple stab wounds. She was found in a bedroom of her residence alone in the community of Fairhaven. Law enforcement personnel believe that they are in possession of evidence that will lead to the identity of the suspect in this case.

US POSTAL SERVICE & FBI

Ivend Olgar Holen

IVEND OLGAR HOLEN

The United States Postal Inspector and the FBI are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the Kimball Post Office bombing. An explosive device was detonated at the Kimball Post Office on May 13, 1976. At approximately 6:30 a.m., Assistant Postmaster Ivend Olgar Holen (age 60) died as a result of the explosion.

The US Postal Inspection Service may pay a reward of “up to $ 50,000” for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the mailing of the bomb in which an employee was subsequently killed.
