Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of October 13, 2003

Sherburne County Sheriff:

Sometime between 4 p.m. October 4th and 11 a.m. the following morning, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a residence an the 7300 block of 27th Street Southeast in Haven Township. Stolen from the residence was an antique roll-top desk that was recently refinished in a dark brown stain. Estimated value of the desk is $2,500.

Sherburne County Sheriff:

Sometime between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. on October 9, unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered a residence on the 26400 block of 120th Street in Zimmerman. Suspect(s) stole a VCR and a Sony Playstation II with three games and an extra controller as well as cash and jewelry. In addition, a dark blue Snap-On brand tool chest full of miscellaneous tools and customized motorcycle parts was taken.

St. Cloud Police:

On 10/14/03 at 1:02 AM, Officers were dispatched to an alarm at Best Buy, located at 4130 West Division Street. Upon arrival, Officers discovered an open door into the building on the west side of the establishment. Officers checked the interior of the building and discovered that it had been burglarized. No suspects were located during the search of the Interior and it was determined that they had fled the scene prior to police arriving. The investigation revealed that multiple suspects had entered the building causing damage to various items of merchandise and removed four large plasma television sets. The items taken and damage was valued in excess of $28,000.

Sartell police:

On Sunday, October 12th, Sartell police were called to the Smoke Shop at 1090 2nd Street South, #600, in response to a counterfeit money complaint.

The clerk reported that a black female attempted to purchase 3 packs of Newports with a $100 bill. The bill was put into the light and there was no face on the right hand side of the bill. The bill was to thin and did not look right. The comp stated he was going to call the police and the female grabbed the bill and took off. The suspect got into a newer style silver minivan, possibly a ford. She was last seen going South bound on pine cone road.

The suspect is described as a black female, in her 40’s, approximately 150 pounds, with shoulder length black hair, wearing black pants and a red shirt.

Waite Park Police:

The Waite Park Police Department are investigating a burglary that occurred between the night of October 8th and the morning of October 9th, 2003. The burglary was at Callan’s furniture. Removed from the business was money, a dining room table set, a 42" round cherry table with 1 18" leaf, 4 Ladderback side chairs and a Cherry Kinkaid Mule Chest. Total loss is listed at in excess of $1,800.00.
