for Week of October 27, 2003
Stearns County Sheriff: Theft from vehicle, Damage to Property,
Cabin Break-in
On 10/18/03, the SCSO received a report of a
car break in. The car had been parked at a wildlife management area south
of El Rancho Manana. The door lock had been punched and a Ruger .22 along
with ammunition, 2 gun cases, and a plat book were stolen from the car.
On 10/18/03, the SCSO received a damage to property report on Franklin
Road in north Lynden Twp. A section of wooden fence had been damaged by
persons breaking out a large number of wooden boards.
On 10/27/03, the SCSO received a report of a cabin break-in on Two Rivers
Road. Forced entry had been made to the cabin by breaking out a window in
a service door. Items stolen from the cabin included a
Whirlpool Microwave, Pioneer Stereo, Craftsman Air Compressor, Harley
Davidson mirrored picture, a Skill electric drill, sleeping bags, and bb
guns.
Sartell Police: Theft and Property Damage
On October 23, 2003 responded to a theft
complaint at 195 Autumn Drive. Sometime between October 19th and the 23rd,
someone broke the lock off of a storage shed and removed the following
items. Total loss is listed at $4,019.00.
* Milwaukee angle grinder, $ 179.00
* Dewalt power set, 5 piece cordless 500.00
* Shure wireless sound system 2,550.00
* Craftsman red tool box 75.00
* Craftsman wrench set 100.00
* Tap and die set 100.00
* Snap-On torque wrench 70.00
* Vise grips 80.00 Sherburne County Sheriff: Damage to Property, Burglary, Theft
from Vehicles, ATV Theft, and Mailbox Vandalism
* Sometime between 8 p.m. Oct. 25 and 6 a.m.
the following morning, unknown suspect(s) damaged a lawn on the 13300
block of 2nd Ave. S. in Zimmerman. The suspect(s) poured an unknown
substance on the lawn to kill the grass and write profanity.
* Sometime during Oct. 22-24 unknown suspect(s) entered a storage building
on the 24500 block of County Road 1 in Livonia Township and removed a wood
splitter. The machinery is described as a red MDT model 500-510 and was
between one and two years old.
* Sometime before 8:45 a.m. on Oct. 28 at least two suspect(s) burglarized
two homes under construction on the 27400 block of 109th Street in Livonia
Township. Suspects parked a car in the garage of one residence and closed
the garage door while loading numerous items. From a second residence
items taken include: air compressor, paint sprayer, cordless drill,
cordless circular saw, two ladders and a finishing nailer.
* Sometime during the early morning hours of Oct. 24 unknown suspect(s)
entered two unlocked vehicles on the 10900 block of 262nd Ave. in Livonia
Township. Stolen items include: CD’s, blue bag-less Dirt Devil vacuum, a
Ski-Doo jacket, a $300.00 pool cue, and miscellaneous clothing.
* Sometime after 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 6:50 a.m. the following morning
unknown suspect(s) slashed four tires on a vehicle parked in the driveway
of a residence on the 20700 block of 199th Ave. in Big Lake Township.
Estimated damage is $400.
* Sometime between Oct. 16th and 25th unknown suspect(s) stole an ATV
being stored in a temporary shed at a residence on the 30700 block of Hwy
169 in Baldwin Township. The ATV was secured to the shed by a chain and
the chain was cut by the suspects. The ATV is described as a 2004 Polaris
600 Sportsman, yellow in color, bearing MN license 048PH and had front and
rear rack extenders as well as a brush guard with winch. Estimated loss is
$8,000.
* At least three residences had their mailboxes vandalized. They are
located on the 4000 block of 121st Ave. and the 11000 block of 37th St. in
Clear Lake Township and the 26700 block of 128th St. in Livonia Township.
Waite Park Police: Burglaries
The Waite Park Police Department is
investigating a number of burglaries that occurred between the evening
hours of October 25th and the early morning hours of October 26th. The
burglaries occurred on the 200 block of 9th avenue north and the 100 block
of 8th avenue north. Forced entry was used to gain entry into garages.
Vehicles were gone through and miscellaneous items were removed from the
garages and the vehicles.
St. Cloud Police: Attempted Abduction
On 10-25-03 at 11:59 PM, Officers
responded to the area of Lake George in reference to an attempted
abduction. The 16-year-old female victim stated that a male grabbed her
by the pavilion at Lake George and attempted to pull her into his van. The
victim stated that she got away and ran home. The victim was not injured.
The van was described as an older model light blue van with a black rack
on top, sliding door on the right side and a windshield wiper on the back
window.
The male suspect was described as a white male in his 40's, with dark
eyes, black shaggy medium length hair, black beard and mustache, 5'6" to
5'9" tall, 190-210 lbs., with an Unknown tattoo on his right forearm. The
suspect has not been located at this time.
Sherburne County Sheriff: Mail Box Vandalisms
The Sherburne County Sheriff's
Department reports numerous mailboxes were vandalized sometime during the
evening hours of October 17-19. The vandalisms occurred primarily on
County Roads, including:
16600 and 16700 blocks of CR 14, Elk River; 15100 and 21200 blocks of CR
79 in Big Lake Township; 3400 block of 12th Street, SE St. Cloud; 28400
block of 144th St, Zimmerman.
