Sherburne County Sheriff: Theft
The Sherburne County Sheriff is investigating
the theft of a 300 pound antique organ which was stolen from Becker’s
Snake River Church. The theft occurred between Wednesday, November 19th
and Saturday, November 22nd. The organ was at least 80 years old. Other
items taken included were a large library table and five chairs designed
for children. Authorities are estimating that the organ was carried out by
a number of men.
Stearns County Sheriff and St. Cloud Police: Home Invasion Robberies
(Repeated from week of November 10, 2003, by
request of law enforcement.)
The Stearns County Sheriff and the St. Cloud
Police are investigating two home invasions that have occurred within the
past week. 3-4 armed males have entered the residences demanding drugs and
money. The invasions appear to be organized and well planned. The first
occurred on 10-31-03 near Cold Spring and the second on 11-3-03 in St.
Cloud. Authorities are working together to determine if they are related.
Stearns County Sheriff: Burglaries, Vandalism and Thefts
On 11/22/03 the SCSO received reports of
burglaries, theft and vandalism in the Roscoe and St. Martin areas. During
the early morning hours of 11/22/03 unknown persons forced entry into the
Roscoe Bar and Roscoe Post Office. Property stolen included a large number
of VCR tapes, batteries, cameras, cash, approx. 20 bottles of liquor,
several 12 packs of beer, and about 5-10 cartons of cigarettes.
On the same date SCSO also received a report of a theft from vehicle on
290th Street in St. Martin Twp. Unknown persons entered a garage and took
cash, credit cards and checks from a Chevrolet Blazer, and attempted to
force entry into a camper. About two miles away from this crime, unknown
persons entered a home under construction and broke several windows which
had just been installed. Damage is estimated at $2,000. It appears these
cases are related. Sherburne County Sheriff: Thefts
Sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 9:30
a.m. the following morning, unknown suspect(s) entered a home under
construction on the 26000 block of 12th St. in Zimmerman and stole
numerous power tools. Missing were: 3/8" Makita drill, 2 batteries, and a
drill case; one Porter Cable air compressor; one Porter Cable nail gun and
case; one Porter Cable brad nailer and case; one Rigid brand Miter box
saw. All the items were labled with the word "Droogsma" in either yellow
paint pen or black marker.
Sometime between 9 p.m. on 111703 and 7:15 a.m. on 111803, unknown
suspect(s) stole vehicle parts from a vehicle repair business on the 21400
block of 125th St in Baldwin Township. Stolen were custom/special order
parts from a high-performance engine on a 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo. Also
stolen was the vehicle’s stereo.
Sherburne County Sheriff: Multiple Cases
Sometime during the weekend of Nov. 1-2,
unknown suspect(s) slashed 12 tires on vehicles parked at a residence on
17700 block of 57th Street in Becker Township. The suspect(s) then entered
the residence and proceeded to do additional damage, including: kick a can
of paint over in a hallway; smash a television; bend a shotgun barrel by
striking it against a door frame; and stab a knife through a hat and into
a VCR. Damage is estimated at more than $3,500.
Sometime on Oct. 29 unknown suspect(s) stole a 4-wheeler from the 5700
Block of County Road 6 in Palmer Township. The vehicle is described as a
1987 Honda 250X, gray and red in color. It has a fog lights mounted on it;
homemade exhaust that is black with chrome on the end; homemade
suspension; and a ripped seat. Estimated loss is $2,500.
Sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Nov. 1 unknown suspect(s) stole an
in-dash CD player from a vehicle parked on the on the 100 block of Center
Street in Clear Lake. The CD player is described as an in-dash JVC with
am/fm and a gray faceplate. Estimated loss is $150.
Sometime on Nov. 1 unknown suspect(s) used a vehicle to damage the grass
on the practice football field at Zimmerman High School.
Sometime between Oct. 20 and Oct. 31 unknown suspect(s) stole a shotgun
from a residence on the 11900 block of 257th Ave. in Livonia Township. The
shotgun is described as a Remington 870 with wooden stock and the rear
site screw is stripped out. Estimated loss is $370.
Sometime between 10 p.m. and Midnight on Oct. 31 unknown suspect(s)
smashed the rear window of a vehicle parked at a business on the 31900
block of 125th Street in Baldwin Township. Suspect(s) removed several
carpet and linoleum tools. One of the tools stolen was a 2’ by 2’
automatic welder made by a German manufacturer. Some of the carpet and
linoleum tools had blue spray paint on them.
Sometime between 11:00 p.m. Oct. 27 and 6:50 a.m. on Oct. 28 unknown
suspect(s) sliced four tires on a vehicle parked in the driveway of a
residence on the 20700 block of 199th Ave. in Big Lake Township.
Sometime between 4 p.m. on Oct. 28th and 4:30 a.m. Oct. 29th unknown
suspect(s) removed numerous drywall tools from a pickup parked in a
driveway on the 17100 block of 117th Street in Becker Township. Suspect(s)
tore a truck bed cover to gain access and stole an airless sprayer,
drywall box applicators, angle heads, drywall pumps, a Dewalt cordless
drill, a Dewalt electric drill, 2 drywall hoppers, a scaffold, and drywall
banjo. Estimated loss is approximately $5,000.
