for Week of December 22, 2003

Benton County Sheriff: Attempted Abduction/Sexual Assault

The Benton County Sheriff's Office is investigating an Attempted Abduction / Sexual Assault that occurred at approximately 12:40 AM on Tuesday morning, December 16, 2003.

A female victim was driving south bound on US Hwy 10 in Watab Township when she was motioned to pullover by a male suspect with the indications being she had a flat tire on her vehicle. Both vehicles stopped near the Intersection of Hwy 10 and Benton County Road 13.

When the victim got out of her vehicle to inspect the reported flat tire the suspect grabbed her breasts, over her clothing, and was exposing his penis to her. He then attempted to pull her by the arm towards his vehicle. The victim was able to break free of the suspects grip and drive to a relative's home in the area. The victim was not physically injured in this incident. The suspect was last seen leaving the area north bound on Hwy 10.

Sex:_Male Race: Caucasion Age: Late 20’s/Early 30’s
Ht.5-7 / 5-9 Wt. 150-180 Hair: Black- To the back of the neck / Possible facial hair
Eyes: UNK Misc. info Victim described eyes of suspect to be “bugged out” similar to that of a person under the influence of methamphetamine

Vehicle description:
Late 80’s/Early 90’s van possibly Ford – possibly dark green License # Unknown
