Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of December 29, 2003

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary

On 12-31-03 at approximately 0144 hours officers from the St. Cloud Police Department were dispatched to 1260 Johnson Rd. # 106 to investigate a Burglary in progress. Upon arrival officers learned that an unknown male entered apartment #106 through a window. The male then entered the victim’s bedroom pulling the covers off of her. The victim was able to kick the suspect several times causing him to leave through the same window he entered.

The suspect was described as a W 1M 5-7 to 5-11 with a medium build. A photo lineup including a photo of a level 2 sex offender living in the area was put together and shown to the victim. The victim was unable to identify anyone in the line up. Outside on the west side of the apartment building it appeared the suspect had stopped next to all of the windows

Stearns County Sheriff: Home Burglary

The SCSO received a report of a home burglary on 12-25-03 at about 5pm. A private home on CR 131 in Brockway Twp was entered, and a 2' square "Sentry" safe was stolen. The safe contained car titles, jewelry and cash. The burglary happened sometime between noon and 5pm on Christmas Day, entry had been gained by forcing open the front door

St. Cloud Police: Car Jacking – Stolen Vehicle

On 12/30/03 at 0645 hours Officers were dispatched to a reported car jacking at 5th Avenue and 1st, Street South (M - Lot). Upon arrival, Officers met with a 22 year-old female victim. The investigation revealed that the victim had driven to the library and parked her car in the “M - Lot" parking lot. The victim left her vehicle (locked) with the motor running and walked to the Library. After completing her errand at the Library she walked back to her vehicle. At this time, a male suspect came up behind her and pushed her aside. Simultaneously the suspect snatched the keys to her vehicle from her hands. After being confronted by the suspect, the victim fled on foot. The suspect then got into the victim's vehicle and fled the area at a high rate of speed. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Suspect Description; Male wearing a black stocking hat (No further description known).

Vehicle Description; MN License #GNC-610 - 1996 Maroon Chevrolet Cavalier, 4 door, cracked rear bumper, dent in rear drivers side passenger door.
(This vehicle was recovered on 12-31-2003)

Stearns County Sheriff: Home Burglary and Theft

On 12/23/03, SCSO received a report of theft from a homeowner in Sauk Centre Twp. A private home had been entered between 12 noon and 6:30pm and a large amount of cash was stolen. There was no forced entry to the home. The home is located on Sauk Lake Road in Sauk Centre Twp. The only thing taken from the home was the cash.

Stearns County Sheriff: Gun Shots into a Home

At approx. 2:30 am, Sunday, December 28, 2003 someone fired a gun at an occupied residence located on Parkland Lane, Oak Twp, Stearns County MN. This home is located near Lake Maria southeast of New Munich. There was significant damage to the home.
