for Week of February 24 - March 2, 2003
Stearns County Sheriff:
The Stearns County
Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fish house break in on Kraemer Lake
that was reported on 2/21/03. Taken were 2 stoves, tools, and fishing
equipment. Entry was forced by prying a latch on the door.
St. Cloud Police:
St. Cloud Police are
investigating the passing of four forged checks that were issued to
business in St. Cloud. These checks were written on a TCF Bank account
and came from a checkbook, previously reported as missing. All of the
checks were passed on February 5th. The forged checks were #’s 1126,
1127, 1130, 1131.
Benton County Sheriff & Rice Police:
The Benton County Sheriff and the Rice
Police are investigating a daytime residential burglary that happened in
the city of Rice on 2/19/03. A firearm was taken from the residence.
Excessive damage was also done to the residence.
Sherburne County Sheriff:
The Sherburne County Sheriff is
investigating the theft of a truck, trailer and 11 ATVs from Bristow’s
Kawasaki & Polaris Dealership, on Highway 10, South East of St. Cloud. The
theft occurred between 4:00 and 5:00 AM, Friday, February 28, 2003. Total
loss in this case is set at $100,000.00
The truck is a 1997 Chevy Crew Cab, K3500, white, with “Bristow’s” logos
on both sides. It has Minnesota License: YAC 3490. The trailer is a new
2003 US Cargo enclosed 24’ black in color, and un-licensed.
The ATVs were removed from their crates prior to being taken. The stolen
ATVs were:
* 3 – 2003 Predator 90
* 1 – 2003 Scrambler 50
* 6 – 2003 Sportsman 700, all Black/Silver
* 1 – 2003 Sportsman 700, No shadow, NBU
