Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for week of February 3-9, 2003

The Sherburne County Sheriff cases:

On Jan. 29 at 3 p.m., deputies responded to the 23100 block of 185th, St. in Big Lake, where unknown suspect(s) apparently kicked in the front door of a residence. Taken from upstairs bedrooms was approximately $2,400 worth of jewelry and an undetermined amount of old coins. Two bedrooms in the upstairs portion of the house appeared to have been ransacked. A small, newer red truck was seen exiting the area.

On Jan 29 at 7 p.m. they were called to the 14500 block of County Road 30 in

Big Lake Township in reference to a burglary. Unknown suspect(s) kicked in a front door and stole a box of checks and Coke bottle with $50 change in it. The burglary occurred sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day.

On Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. in reference to a theft from a fish house on the northwest side of Big Elk Lake near Palmer. Sometime after 7 p.m. Jan. 22, unknown suspect(s) pried the hinge lock off the fish house and stole a heating element, green Coleman lantern and five small green canisters of Coleman propane.

On Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. deputies were called to the 13100 block of Woodview Lane in

reference to a theft of three Rottweiler puppies from an unsecured barn. Sometime between 5 p.m. on Jan 25 and noon on Jan. 26 unknown suspect(s) entered the barn and took two female and one male puppy.

On Jan 22 at 8 a.m. they were called to 150th Street north of County Road 45 in

Big Lake Township in reference to a theft. Sometime after 3:30 p.m. on Jan 21, unknown suspect(s) made forced entry into a waste water treatment facility building and removed tools and a generator. Entry was made through a window on the south side of the building.

On Jan 21 at 9 a.m. to Round Lake in Haven Township in reference to a theft from a fish house. Two ice fishing rods taken from within the fish house were marked, one with a letter "A" and the other with a letter "W". Entry was made by breaking the clasp lock.

On Jan. 19 at 8 a.m., unknown suspect(s) cut two padlocks off a construction trailer on the 24400 block of 98th St., Zimmerman. The trailer was attached to a 2000 Chevrolet truck and parked in front of a pole barn. Numerous items were removed from the trailer, many of which were marked with the initials KCI.

On Jan. 18 at 11 a.m., unknown suspects pushed in the back door of a residence under construction on the 8100 block of Hunters Lake and removed one tool box full of assorted screws and fasteners worth approximately $125.00.

On Jan. 19 at 11 a.m., Larson's Towing in Palmer reported a theft and vehicle tampering. Four vehicles were tampered with in the impound lot. A window was smashed out of one of the vehicles and a stereo removed. A stereo was also removed from a second vehicle.
