Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of March 31 to April 6, 2003
St. Cloud Police:
The St. Cloud Police are investigating a
robbery and assault. On April 2nd at about 1:00 AM, the victim was looking
for a ride home got into a vehicle with two strangers. They drove him to
an area of St. Cloud where they physically assaulted and stole personal
property from him. The only vehicle description was a 4dr. Cutlass Cierra
or Chev. Cavalier. The driver was described as a white male, 6” tall,
20-22 years of age, goatee on his chin and scruffy facial hair. There is
no description for the second suspect.
Sherburne County Sheriff:
The Sherburne County Sheriff's Department is
seeking assistance from the public in identifying three individuals who
committed an armed robbery. Three male suspects entered the Santiago
Country Store at closing time or about 10 p.m. on Friday, March 7. At
least one of the suspects was armed and brandished a gun, demanding the
cashier give them cash. The suspects took the cash drawer from the cash
register and fled the scene.

Richmond Police:
On April 1st, the Richmond Police received
a report of a theft at C & D Granite Co., 767 1st Street NE in Richmond.
Taken was a custom made 4 piece set of granite counter tops, valued at
$6,000.00. It is believed that a pickup truck and a snowmobile or similar
type trailer were used. The theft occurred sometime between Friday
afternoon, March 29th and Tuesday morning, April 1st.
St. Cloud Police:
During the night of March 30th to March 31st,
unknown person(s) forced entry into Shuler Shoes and Aeropostale. Both are
businesses located at Crossroads Mall 4200 Division Street West. An
undetermined amount of property was taken.
Stearns County Sheriff:
The Stearns County Sheriff is investigating a
burglary that occurred during the early am hours of March 30th, at the
Luxemburg Texaco convenience store. Suspects pried open the front door and
stole several cartons of cigarettes. Suspects then fled out the back door
to a vehicle nearby. The building is alarmed, but the suspects had fled
the scene prior to deputies arriving at the scene.
Benton County Sheriff's Office:
The Benton County Sheriff is investigating a
series of five residential burglaries in their county.
Case 03004181 - 10659 Finch Rd. N.E., Foley, MN, Alberta Township.
Complainant reported on 03-17-03, that sometime between 03-14-03 and
03-17-03, suspect entered their residence and had taken the following:
DeWalt screwgun, yellow in color with the initials DZ inscribed in the
battery, 6 - Stanley screwdrivers, and a DeWalt Sawzall, yellow in color,
11 amp.
Case 03004184 - 5464 75th Ave. N.E., Sauk Rapids, MN, St. George
Township
Complainant reported that between 9:30 and 11:15 AM, on 3- 7- 3, suspect
forced entry into their residence taking numerous blank checks, Sunbeam
toaster, and three DVD's.
A Drive by witness described suspect vehicle parked in front of residence
as late 1980’s, Pontiac Grand Am, two door, two tone, maroon over black or
gray: rust on drivers side door, and factory wheels.
The suspect is described as Caucasian male, late 20's, 5-7/5-10, medium
build, dark brown or black hair below the shoulders, black jacket possible
Carhart, and black stocking cap.
Case 03004206 - 6881 55th Ave. N.E. Sank Ra ids MN Mathew Lake Township
Complainant reported that between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, on 03-17-03,
suspect entered their residence taking two boxes of blank checks, three
pounds of butter, three pounds of cheese, numerous other food items, and
several bottles of liquor.
Possible suspect vehicle is a blue, four door, rusty car that had rust
around the wheels.
Case 03005071-16040 75th Ave. N.E. Rice MN Graham Township
Complainant reported that within the week prior to 03-28-03, someone
entered their residence and had taken 150 pounds of meat from the basement
freezer. Meat was wrapped in white paper with the number 228, Randy Rymer,
and 10-2001 printed on the paper.
Case 300520S - 9865 West Lake Court, Rice, MN, Watab Township
Complainant reported a theft and burglary on 03-30-03, where two outboard
motors were taken along with numerous fishing items from inside of a
garage including: ice fishing rods and reels, 2-man clam fish house, ice
fishing tip ups, 2-strikemaster ice augers, Mr. Buddy heater, MinnKota
black trolling motor, Jennings compound bow, and other miscellaneous ice
fishing items. .
