Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of April 21, 2003

Stearns County Sheriff:

The Stearns County Sheriff received a report of 6 storage sheds being burglarized over the weekend of April 20th. Items stolen were an alpine car stereo, Boston acoustic speakers and Infinite speakers. The storage sheds were located on county road 50 by Big Fish Lake.

Sauk Centre Police:

The Sauk Centre Police are investigating two thefts from automotive stores in that community.
 
A party calls NAPA and Car Quest in Sauk Centre, states he is from the school and needs some auto parts dropped off there, as he is working on some cars. Then changes his mind and goes to the parts store himself. He charges these parts to the school and leaves.
 
Napa lost approximately 200.00 dollars worth of parts. Car quest lost approximately 300.00 dollars worth of parts.
 
Subject is a white male in the mid twenties, approximately 220 pounds. He was last seen driving a 1991 maroon Toyota Camry.

 
Melrose Police:

The Melrose Police are investigating a theft from the Melrose Area High School.

Sometime between Sunday evening, 4-20-03 and Tuesday, 4-22-03, Person(s) unknown used force to enter the automotive shop building at the Melrose Area High School. Tools were taken along with a scanner for car computer diagnostics. Scanner was a Snap-on brand, Scanner, serial # su635265132608. The police have footprints of at least two suspects.


St. Joseph Police:

The St. Joseph Police are investigating two vandalisms and theft from vehicles which occurred on Saturday, April 19th. The incidents took place in the parking lot at the Lighthouse and were discovered at 10:15 PM.

The first victim ported that unknown person 5 broke out the passenger side window of her vehicle and stole approximately 250 CD's and her purse while it was parked on the north side of the building. The CD case was in the back seat under a sweatshirt and her purse was under the front passenger seat. In the purse were her checkbook and 2 credit cards along with her MN DL and Social Security Card. Loss here is estimated at $300.00.

The second victim reported that unknown persons entered her unlocked vehicle and stole approximately 12 CDs and 3 books on CDs while it was parked on the north side of the building. Loss here is estimated at $321.00.

Waite Park Police:

The Waite Park Police Department is investigating a burglary at Crafts Direct on Sundial Drive. The burglary happened between 9:00 pm on April 15th and 8:30am on April 16th. There was forced entry and a large amount of money was taken from a safe. The bank bag was recently found empty in Little Falls.
