Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of April 28, 2003

Stearns Country Sheriff:

The Stearns County Sheriff is investigating the theft of a motorcycle on 4-10-2003. The theft occurred at a private residence on highway 15, near Luxemburg. The unit was a 2000 Yamaha YZ250, blue and white in color, with several stickers displayed on it. This is a dirt bike, with a value of approximately $4,000.00.

St. Cloud Police:

On 4-30-2003 between the hours of 2 AM and 3:30 AM several businesses and vehicles in the City of St. Cloud along East St. Germain and the South East area received damage to property. Reports were taken that businesses and vehicles had broken glass damage.

St. Cloud Police:

The St. Cloud Police are looking for the public’s assistance in locating a stolen BMX style bicycle.

 The bicycle was stolen from a garage at 1323 West Oaks Drive in St. Cloud, sometime between 9:30 PM and 9:45 PM on April 28th,

 The bicycle is custom made with a “STAATS” bike frame which is white with yellow lettering.  Across the frame is the word, “STAATS” and the handle bars are also yellow. The bike has a black and blue colored seat and there is a removable number plate on the front of the bicycle with the number “Seven”.

The value of this bicycle is over $2,200.00.

 Sartell Police Department:

The Sartell Police are investigating six reports of property and vehicle damage/theft in the community.

Sometime in the late evening/early morning hours on April 26/27th, damage occurred to a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment building on the 300 block of 7th Street North.

The second case was a report that a tire on a camper had been slashed. This incident took place on the west side of the fenced area at Evergreen Park. It is not known when the incident occurred.

Case three was reported on April 26 when a mailbox post was damaged on the 300 block of 3rd Street NE. It appeared that an unknown person drove across the lawn and struck the mailbox post. Damage is estimated at $100.

On April 19, a vehicle break-in was reported on the 500 block of Pinecone Road North. Someone broke into the truck overnight and stole the stereo equipment. The truck did not show any other damage.

Sometime after 8:00 pm on the evening of April 22, a vehicle was broken into along the 400 block of 2nd Street North. The person broke the lock on the passenger side and entered the vehicle, taking the in-dash stereo and 25 compact discs. Damage is estimated at approximately $100.

Also on the 400 block of 2nd Street North, on April 23, someone stole a portable CD player which was sitting on the console of a vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked and the window was open.
