for Week of May 5, 2003
Cold Spring Police:
Cold Spring Police are investigating the
theft of at least four ATVs from Gresser Motors & Sports on Highway 23,
across from Gold N' Plump Poultry, on May 8th. A store employee was
passing by the store at 12:30 am and noticed a U-Haul parked at Kiess
Chevrolet, a neighboring business. The U-Haul was a larger unit with dual
rear tires and a storage unit over the cab.
None of the ATVs had keys in them so they were pushed from the east side
of the business to the west side and loaded. The stolen items are
described as:
1. 2002 new 90cc red Arctic Cat 4-wheel ATV, serial number
RFLNA09CX2A601220
2. 1997 used 454cc Bearcat ATV, serial number 1CVTM08154ATV8
3. 2001 used 375cc green 4x4 ATV, serial number 4UF02ATV92T218925
4. 1993 used Polaris Trail Boss 2x4, 250 cc, no serial number available
St. Cloud Police:
St. Cloud Police have released a composite
sketch of a suspected purse-snatcher. On May 6 at approximately 8:35 p.m.,
the victim (27 year old female) was walking in the 400-block alley between
5th and 6th Ave South when an unknown person came up behind her and
snatched the purse from her shoulder. The purse contained a large amount
(undisclosed) of cash. The suspect then ran from the area, heading
northwest.
The suspect is described as a white male, 32 years old, 6'0" tall, 175
lbs., slender build, blonde/brown shoulder length hair, wearing a baseball
cap, blue jean jacket and blue jeans. The suspect's hair and clothing
appeared to be unkempt. Officers checked the area and were unable to
locate the suspect. A composite sketch of the suspect appears below.
St. Cloud Police:
St. Cloud Police are investigating the theft
of a Fuji Sandblaster 18 speed bicycle. It is Star Silver in color, with
black fenders. It has rear lights with a generator, carrier basket with 2
bungee cords. In the basket was a pair of binoculars, spray bottle and a
canvas bag. The serial number is F9115129, Bicycle License number
C8002602. Replacement cost is $500.00. Note: This bicycle is owned by an
elderly handicapped man who must use it as his only means of exercise.
St. Cloud Police:

Note: This is an update on this case from
last week. Parts of this bicycle were found abandoned.
The St. Cloud Police are looking for the
public's assistance in locating a stolen BMX style bicycle.
The bicycle was stolen from a garage at 1323 West Oaks Drive in St. Cloud,
sometime between 9:30 PM and 9:45 PM on April 28th,
The bicycle is custom made with a "STAATS" bike frame which is white with
yellow lettering. Across the frame is the word, "STAATS" and the handle
bars are also yellow. The bike has a black and blue colored seat and there
is a removable number plate on the front of the bicycle with the number
"Seven".
The value of this bicycle is over $2,200.00.
