Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of June 2, 2003

Stearns County Sheriff:

The Stearns County Sheriff's Department is looking for assistance in identifying the person or persons involved in the thefts of several traffic counting boxes from the Holdingford and Holdingford Township area. These thefts occurred between June 3, 2003 and June 5, 2003.

Sartell Police:

Case #1:
The Sartell Police are investigating a 2nd Degree Assault that occurred on June 4, 2003 at 9:25 PM.

Two juvenile males, age 11, reported to the Sartell Police Department that someone had brandished a gun at them. The juveniles stated that they were biking east on 2 ˝ Street North near 13th Avenue, when a vehicle approached them from behind at a high rate of speed and then slammed on its brakes. The male driver of the vehicle opened his car door and brandished a rifle from the back seat. The boys then rode their bikes to the residence of an off-duty, State Trooper and reported the incident.

The vehicle is described as a dark green or blue compact car. The driver of the vehicle is a white male, early 20's, with acne or freckles and orange highlights in his hair. The juveniles stated that there was also a passenger in the vehicle. The juveniles described the weapon as an assault rifle with a
brown wooden stock and banana clip.

Case #2:
The Sartell Police Department is investigating a burglary and property damage at the Sartell Golf Course, located on Pinecone Road North. Sometime between 10:30 PM Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, someone entered the golf course office through a window. A cash register was damaged and cabinet drawers were gone through. Approximately $600.00 cash was stolen and damage is estimated at $400.00.


St. Cloud Police:

Tri-County Crime Stoppers, Inc. is still offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and formal charging of the person or persons responsible for the Vandalism and Criminal Damage to Property which occurred at Hustad Homes, Inc. during the evening hours of June 8th or early morning hours of June 9th, 2000.

Sometime between 10:30 PM and 5:00 AM, vandals broke into the manufactured home lot on Franklin Avenue NE near US Highway 10 in St. Cloud. A front end loader was driven around the lot, pushing, ramming and otherwise mutilating 11 new and used homes. Damage estimates were over $500,000.00.






 

St. Cloud Police:

Follow-up on a case from last week. The St. Cloud Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying one or both of the women featured in the photographs below.

On 5-26-03 at approximately 11:06 PM an officer from the St. Cloud Police Department was dispatched to the SuperAmerica station at 600 Hwy. 10 South to investigate a fire. Upon arrival the fire had been put out, the fire was confined to the women's restroom. Evidence was collected at the scene. The clerk reported seeing a white female, 19-22 years of age, 5’5” tall, weighing approximately 160-170 pounds, with dark hair. She was wearing a grey sweatshirt and a white T-shirt.
