Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of June 23, 2003

St. Cloud Police:

On 05/28/03 at 2:30 PM, St. Cloud Police were dispatched to St. Cloud State University Public Safety for a vandalism to vehicle complaint. The owner of a 1994 Nissan Sentra had parked her vehicle in K lot at SCSU, the 1300 block of 3rd avenue south. It was unattended from 12:45 to 1:45 PM, while the owner walked her dog. When she returned to her vehicle the front passenger's window had been busted out and the suitcase containing some art that was on a 6" x 6" tiles with religious paintings on them. These tiles were bought in Jerusalem and the total value for the tiles is $800 to $1,000.








Big Lake Police Department:

The Big Lake Police Department responded to the 200 block of County Road 5 (Eagle Lake Road) in the City of Big Lake, regarding a hit and run - property damage accident involving police property. The suspect vehicle is described as 1990-93 dodge full-size pickup truck, dark red in color, with some rust. The vehicle has right front end damage. It is missing the top rubber trim cover from the right front bumper. The Big Lake Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the vehicle and its driver.

Stearns County Sheriff:

On 6/7/03 officers of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office were called to a burglar alarm at the Rock Stop convenience store in the city of Rockville. On arrival they found the glass to a door had been smashed out. On 6/8/2003, officers were again called to the rock stop on another alarm. The glass in the south door had again been smashed out. Suspects had thrown a large piece of granite through the glass, entered the store and stole a large number of frozen pizzas.

St. Cloud Police:

On 6-20-03 at 10:39 PM, Officers responded to the area of Raymond Avenue NE and 6th Street NE, in reference to a gunshot complaint. The investigation revealed that an unknown person drove up to 529 6th Avenue NE and fired one shot from a handgun. No one was injured in the incident. No damage was found in the area. No suspects have been identified or locate at this time.

Stearns County Sheriff:

The Stearns County Sheriff received a theft report from the Central Livestock Association in Albany twp on 6/19/03. 13 finished cows were stolen sometime between 2am and 5am. The livestock stolen were 3 white Charlois and 10 mixed black and white.

Waite Park Police:

The Waite Park Police Department is investigating a 5th degree assault that happened at Cashwise on March 21, 2003. An unknown suspect male entered Cashwise and was walking around the store with a shopping cart filled with bags. The suspect was placing items in the bags as he walked around the store. He then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items near the deli. When he was approached by loss prevention he was asked to present a receipt. The suspect began looking for a receipt, but did not produce one. He then turned towards the loss prevention officer and head butted him. The suspect then left the store and ran towards Cashwise Liquor. The suspect then got into the passenger's side of a gray Geo Prism that was parked at Little Dukes and the vehicle drove away.

Suspect description: male, 40's or early 50's, has a mustache, balding head, weight around 220 to 230, approximately 5'9" tall, wearing a grey sweatshirt that said "Delta" on the front
