for Week of June 9, 2003
St. Cloud Police:
During the past week officers from the St. Cloud Police Department have
responded to numerous businesses throughout the city for reports of
counterfeit bills being passed. There have been approximately 10
counterfeit bills reported to the police department in the last week. Some
businesses have reported more than one bill being passed. No one has been
arrested at this time. The bills are in denominations of $IO, $20 and
$100. Some have the same serial number, however not all of them do. The
bills are being sent to the Secret Service.
At this time the Saint Cloud Police Department is asking businesses to be
aware of this and to be watchful for counterfeit bills at their place of
business. If they do have a counterfeit bill they are asked to call the
St. Cloud Police Department and make a report.
