St. Cloud Police:

On 09/23/03 at 6:44 PM, officers were dispatched to 811 W. St. Gem1ain for a report of a male who had been assaulted. Upon arrival officers met with the victim, a 30 year old homeless male. Investigation revealed that an unknown male approached the victim and demanded his money. When the victim refused to give him the money, he struck him over the head with a bottle. The suspect then fled on foot without taking any money. He was last seen leaving the area on foot.

The victim was transported by Gold Cross and remains in the St. Cloud Hospital.

The suspect is described as a B/M, early 40's with a medium build and a mustache.

Stearns County Sheriff:

The Stearns County Sheriff received a damage to property report on 9/12/03. A radio tower located near CR9 and CR 40 in Farming Township sustained significant damage when unknown persons fired several rifle shots into the tower, some hitting the power cables. The damage was about 450' above the ground.

Sauk Rapids Police:

At approximately 9:42 PM, 9/19/03 Benton County Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a female employee at R & F Services, a convenience store/gasoline service station located at 400 South Benton Drive in Sauk Rapids, reporting that she had just been robbed by a black male wearing a dark blue shirt and a dark blue hat. The suspect held an object under his shirt and pushed it toward her like it was a gun although a weapon was not actually seen. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect left the store and ran in a northerly direction.

Units from the St. Cloud and Sartell police departments and the Benton County Sheriffs Department assisted in a search of the area. Sartell’s K-9 unit was deployed during the search as well.

A more detailed description of the suspect was obtained after viewing video tapes at the scene and re-interviewing the store employee. The suspect is described as a Black male, 5-8 to 5-11, 180-210 lbs, wearing blue jeans, a dark blue sweatshirt a dark blue baseball-style cap with an emblem of some sort on it and a white doo rag on his head.
