for Week of September 8, 2003
Avon Police:
At 6:30 PM, on September 6, 2003, The Avon Police responded to a Burglary
complaint at St. Benedicts Church. Unknown suspects broke into the church
parish office. It Appears as though suspects pried open the west door of
the building gaining entry to the Facility. Then the suspects pried open
the parish office door. Once in the office the suspect(s} pried open desk
drawers and file cabinets, taking checks and cash totaling approximately
$400.00, the burglary occurred between noon and 2:45 PM in the afternoon
of 09-06-2003. This is the 2nd time this office has been burglarized in
the past 5 weeks nothing was taken during the 1st burglary. However the
M.O., is similar in both Incidents.
Stearns County Sheriff:
The SCSO received a burglary report on 8/23/03. A storage shed at a
private residence on CR 9 in Eden Lake Twp was burglarized and two wake
boards were stolen. Total value of the loss is estimated at $1600, plus
the damage done to gain entry. The burglary took place between Aug 17th
and Aug 22nd .
Waite Park Police:
The Waite Park Police Department is investigating burglary that happened
at Tri County Mobile Home Park. The burglary happened on Sept 2, 2003.
Removed from the residence Was a X-Box video game box and a Madden
Football game. Value: $192.00
Waite Park Police:
The Waite Park Police Department is investigating numerous car break-ins
that happened on September 5th, 2003 at the Parkbury Apartments on 15th
Ave N. Many vehicles were damaged and many items were taken.
Stearns County Sheriff:
On Labor Day, Sept. 1st, the Stearns Country Sheriff received a report of
a stolen 1997 white Chevrolet K15 Suburban from Lakeview Storage in Maine
Prairie Twp. License plate is 236PGS. The Suburban was last seen south
bound on Hwy 15 towing a 1995 Karavan snowmobile trailer, license. AAVD915
with two snowmobiles. The Karavan trailer and the snowmobiles were also
stolen. The snowmobiles were a 1998 Polaris XC700 and a new Arctic Cat F7
Firecat.
Stearns County Sheriff:
On 7/7/03, the SCSO received a report of a burglary from a storage shed at
Heartland Drywall on Julep Road, St. Joseph Twp. Unknown persons entered a
locked storage shed on the property and stole a Lincoln Arc Welder, a
Graco Paint Sprayer, and a texturing hopper. Also missing from the lot in
front of the building was a 5x8 galvanized trailer with MN license H27558.
The trailer is specifically built to haul the welder and has a dipped
galvanized coating. It is a single axle trailer, built in 2000.
