Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of January 3, 2005

St. Cloud Police: Robbery

On 01/05/0S at 1801 hours officers were dispatched to 1340 9th Avenue South for a. robbery that had just occurred. The victim stated that a black male, approxin1ately 5'5", slim build, approximately thirty years of age wearing a short dark jacket and blue jeans, had just robbed her in the north parking lot. The male had knocked her down and taken her purse, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and miscellaneous items. A K9 search was conducted but the suspect was not located.

Sherburne County Sheriff:  Wanted Fugitive (From 1-5-2004)

 

 

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating a fugitive by the name of Aaron Beliveau. An active warrant for arrest of Beliveau has been issued by the Sherburne County Attorney’s Office.

Beliveau is wanted for manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

According to Chief Deputy Scott Gudmundson, the warrant was issued on January 2nd after investigators raided Beliveau’s residence and discovered an operational methamphetamine lab. Beliveau was not home at the time the search warrant was executed. Investigators, however, did make contact with Beliveau on his cell phone and urged him to turn himself in. Beliveau declined to cooperate and remains a fugitive.
 

St. Cloud Police: Car Jacking – Stolen Vehicle - Kidnapping

On 01/03/05 at 1552 hours, officers of the St. Cloud Police Department were dispatched to a stolen vehicle complaint which occurred in the 700 block of West St. Germain Street. Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant who advised that she had parked her vehicle in the 700 block of West St. Germain Street and left it running. The complainant then exited the vehicle leaving her 87 year old mother attending it while she went into her place of employment for a short period of time. When she returned to the location where the vehicle was parked, she discovered that her mother and the vehicle were missing. Officers were advised that the 87 year old woman no longer drove a vehicle and the complainant was concerned that something happened to her.

After officers received this information, they immediately began checking the surrounding area for the vehicle and the elderly woman. At approximately 1623 hours, officers were dispatched to an assault complaint In the 600 block of West St, Germain Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the missing 87 year old female from the previous complaint. Officers learned that the elderly female had been car jacked and briefly kidnapped by a male perpetrator. The victim and the vehicle were left in the 500 block of 1st Street South behind the Metro Bus station.

The perpetrator in this incident assaulted the elderly female (causing minor injuries) while stealing the valuables from two purses that were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. Once the perpetrator obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the victim, he abandoned the vehicle and left the elderly woman inside. The elderly woman then walked to a nearby business and called the police, No weapons were displayed during this incident.

At this time) the perpetrator has not been apprehended. The perpetrator is described as follows: Black/male, approximately 40 years of age, 5'6" to 5’8”, average build, black hair, scruffy beard, ear rings in both ears, dark colored waist length coat, blue jeans and white shoes.

St. Cloud Police: Property Damage Incident and Injuries

On 01/01/05 at approximately 0003 hours officers were dispatched to McDonald's at 2120 West Division Street for a fight. Investigation revealed that two vehicles had been involved in a property damage incident. One vehicle was damaged by the unknown male when he broke out their rear passenger window with a tire iron or a similar object. The two vehicles then ran into each other and caused a car accident in the parking lot of McDonald's. Both vehicles then headed southbound on 22nd Avenue South. One driver lost control of his vehicle, leaving the road, and striking a tree directly in front of 100 23rd Avenue South. A 16 year old female passenger was treated by Gold Cross at the scene and released. A 17 year old female passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The St. Cloud Police Department is requesting assistance in locating the driver of the unknown vehicle. The vehicle is described as a 2-door Pontiac Grand Am, metallic green in color, possibly mid to late 90's. The unknown male is described as a white male in his early 20's with black curly hair, and a black scruffy moustache.
