Announcement of Reward Payment

Tri-County Crime Stoppers, Inc. is pleased to announce that a reward has been paid for a tip that resulted in solving a case that was featured during the summer of 2005.

St. Cloud Police: Criminal Damage to Property

On 11/01/05 at approximately 2304 hours officers of the St. Cloud Police Department were dispatched to Pan-a-Gold Thrift Store located at 536 East St. Germain, on damage to property.

Through investigation officers learned that an unidentified individual had intentionally broken two glass windows to that business. The total amount of the loss was estimated to be approximately $1,000.00 by a representative of Pan-O-Gold.

St. Cloud Police: Suspicious Activity

On 11/02/05 at approximately 2359 hours officers were dispatched to a suspicious activity that bad occurred at St. Germain Street West and 7th Avenue North at approximately 2330 hours.

Investigation revealed that a 23 year old female had been driving her vehicle through the downtown area with her infant child in the car. A black male got into the vehicle and demanded a ride. The male did not threaten the female in any way but she was fearful for the safety of her child and her self.

This male was dropped off near the 500 block of 17th Avenue North and demanded money from the victim and then left the scene on foot.

The male is described as a black male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, between 5'7" and 5'10", weighing 140 to 170 pounds. This male has short black hair and his bottom front teeth were either broken, missing, or decayed. The male was wearing a red T-shirt with "South Pole" written in white across the front and jeans.

The area where the male was last seen was checked but he was not located.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary

On 10/30/05 at approximately 2350 hours the St. Cloud Police Department received a complaint of a burglary which had occurred on 10/28/05 between 1900 hours and 2359 hours in the 500 block of 13th Street South.

Two bedrooms inside the residence were neatly searched and several DVD's and video games were taken. A Playstation 2 console and Kodak printer dock were also taken. There were no signs of forced entry and many items of value were left behind.

St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary

On 10/29/05 at 2355 hours a window was broken at the Ashland Mart, 1220 32nd Avenue North. Several hundred dollars’ worth of cigarettes were stolen.

Three people in hooded sweatshirts were seen on the surveillance tape.

Sherburne County Sheriff: Multiple Case Summaries (8)

Oct 29th, a resident of 108th Ave. in Palmer Township reported the theft of two CD cases and CDs from her vehicle. Loss is valued at approximately $680.

Oct 29th, a resident of 108th Ave. in Palmer Township reported the theft of $50 in cash from his vehicle.

Oct 28th, a resident of 143rd St. in Baldwin Township reported the face plate taken off of a CD player in his vehicle. Loss is $200.

Oct 27th, a resident of Clarissa, MN reported the theft of a push mower and snow blower from his storage shed located on co rd 50 in Becker Township. Loss is estimated at $1,150.

Oct 27th, a resident of 232nd Ave. in Orrock Township reported the theft of items from his vehicle. Taken was a JVC CD/tune deck, 2 infinity sub-woofers, a Kenwood amplifier and 6 CDs; loss is estimated at $930.

Oct 25th, a resident of co rd 5 in Big Lake Township reported the theft of an unknown amount of checks from his residence. Also taken was a trek 18 speed bicycle valued at $300.

Oct 25th, a resident of co rd 5 in Big Lake Township reported the theft of items from a trailer. Taken was a huffy 10 speed bike valued at $75, 2 sheathed hunting knives valued at $20 and a Stetson hat valued at
$85.

Oct 24th, a resident of 221st Ave. in Big Lake Township reported mail was removed from the mailbox and discarded along co rd 73.

St. Cloud Police: Robbery

On 10/29/05 at approximately 2344 hour’s officers responded to 100 block of Wilson Avenue for a robbery complaint.

Upon arrival the victim stated that he had been robbed in the 800 block of 1st Street South by a suspect wearing a Dracula costume.

The victim stated that the suspect brandished a medium sized, silver in color, semi-automatic pistol. The victim was robbed of $85 in cash.

St. Cloud Police: Robbery

St. Cloud Police are investigating a robbery. A man reported that he was robbed at 12:38 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Second Avenue South.

A 21-year-old man told police that 30 men pushed him down and robbed him. The man's cell phone and wallet were stolen. The victim admitted to police that he was smoking marijuana with the men before the robbery.
