for Week of November 7,  2005

St. Cloud Police: Robbery

On 11/08/05 at 2334 hours St. Cloud Police Department received a report of a robbery which had occurred in the alley between 7th Avenue and 6th Avenue South in the 700 block.

A 23-year-old St. Cloud man reported he had been assaulted and robbed by three unknown male suspects. During the robbery the suspects demanded a cell phone, money, and a wallet. The victim had minor injuries.

The first suspect was described as a 19-year-old black male, 6'2", 180 pounds with short black hair and a possible goatee, wearing a yellow sweatshirt and black pants.

The 2nd suspect was described as a 19-year-old light-skinned Hispanic male, 5’5”, 150 pounds, muscular build, wearing a gray sweatshirt and a white bandanna on his head.

The 3rd suspect was described as a 19-year-old black male 5'5", 150 pounds, wearing a black jacket or sweatshirt and a white du-rag on his head.

The victim did not require medical treatment for his injuries.

Stearns County Sheriff: Theft from Vehicle

Stearns County Deputies responded to a theft from vehicle complaint in the 4000 block of Pine Point Rd. Taken was a JVC CD player with detachable face, model # KD-S590.  The theft occurred between 1700 hours on 11-06-05 and 1630 hours on 11-07-05.

This victim’s residence was burglarized approximately 2 weeks ago. There are no suspects in either case. 

Waite Park Police: Suspicious Fire

On 10/31/05 at 0310 hours, a garage fire was reported in the 200 block of 8th Avenue North in Waite Park. The garage is a total loss. The fire was determined to have started outside the garage and the cause is suspicious in nature.

The fire was reported by a truck driver who was driving by on 3rd Street North. The driver was not identified. If anyone has any knowledge of the fire, or the identity of the truck driver, this information would be appreciated.

Avon Police: Church Burglary and Theft

On 11-07-2005 at approximately 1:45 PM, the Avon Police Department was notified of a forced entry burglary which occurred at the Sonrise Lutheran Church. Taken in this burglary was a Sony ~ 60 inch Big Screen LCD Projector TV ~ Model: KDF60XS95 – Value: Apprx $4000.00.

There was property damage done to other items in the church as well. At approximately 05:30 AM on 11-07-2005, a passerby witnessed a suspect vehicle backed up to the rear of the church. There are no suspect(s) description available.

On 10-08-2005, a burglary and theft also occurred from this location with many items taken at that time. Items consisted from a digital camera, IBM Think Pad, miscellaneous musical instruments and equipment, and other items in the church as well.

Approximated value of the items stolen in both burglaries is in excess of $10,000.00. Property damage is significant.

Sherburne County Sheriff: Multiple Case Summaries (16)

Nov 4th, a resident of 165th St. in Big Lake Township reported the theft of coins from his residence.

Nov 3rd, a business located on 31st St. in Haven Township reported the theft of a 13' flat bed trailer valued at $1,500.

Nov 3rd, a business located on 3rd St. e in Zimmerman reported unknown suspect(s) pried a garage door open, breaking the deadbolt off. A lock on another garage was also pried off; items stolen include a welder, computer, CD player, pressure tester, electric winch and tape deck. Loss is valued at $3,500.

Nov 1st, a resident of 105th Ave. se in Palmer Township reported the theft of a Remington shotgun and case; value is $350.

Nov 1st, a resident of Jarvis St. in Livonia Township reported the theft of her wallet from her residence.

Nov 1st, a business reported the theft of tools from a trailer at a construction site located on 120th St. NW in Livonia Township. Loss is estimated at $950.

October 31st, a business located on 3rd St. e in Zimmerman reported the theft of three tires and rims off a 1995 Saturn; loss is estimated at $300.

Oct 31st, a business reported damage to a door that was broken into at a residence on 182nd Ave. in Big Lake Township. Estimated damage is $100.

Oct 31st, a business in Princeton reported the theft of 200 wood pallets valued at $500.

Oct 30th, a resident of 197th St. in Big Lake Township reported the theft of several items from their home. Loss is estimated at $2,296.

Oct 30th, a resident of 285th Ave. in Baldwin Township reported the theft of a sign for her salon from the end of the driveway; loss is estimated at $85.

Nov 5th, a resident of co rd 73 in Big Lake Township reported his mailbox dented.

Oct 31st, a resident of 151st St. NW in Baldwin Township reported an attempted burglary.

Oct 30th, a resident of Zebulon St. in Big Lake Township reported her mailbox and post destroyed; loss is valued at $50.

Oct 30th, a resident of 204th circle NW in Big Lake Township reported two light pole tops damaged; estimated value is $60.

Oct 27th, a resident of Paradise Dr. in Palmer Township reported marbles thrown at glass patio doors and damage to screen on a window; replacement cost is 1,200.
Oct 26th, a business located on 172nd St. in Big Lake Township reported an attempted break-in to a storage shed.

Cloud Police: Felony Burglary

On 11/05/05 at approximately 0548 hours officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 15th Avenue Southeast, for a burglary in progress.

Officers were advised that the resident had woke up and found a male in the residence. The owner confronted the male and the male ran out of the residence.

The suspect was described as black, approximately 6'2", 220 pounds, wearing a black baseball cap, black sweatshirt, black jeans, and black shoes.

Officers did attempt to track the suspect with a K-9 and were unable to locate the suspect. Officers met with the victims, who advised that several items had been stolen from the residence.

Benton County: Business Burglary

A burglary was committed 10/30/05 at the Apple Storage units on Golden Spike Road, Minden Township.
Seven units were broken into. Pad locks were cut off. One unit had a CD player stolen from a vehicle and two Alpine Amplifiers also a game boy was stolen from trunk, total value 1500.

Stearns County Sheriff: Residential Burglary

On 10/31, a home burglary was reported to SCSO.  Forced entry was made to a home in the 3900 block of Riverside Ave North.  Once inside, the suspect emptied a black duffle bag, loaded it up with about 50 DVD’s and fled. 

Stearns County Sheriff: Felony Theft

On 11/3/05, the SCSO received a report of stolen phone cable from 33rd Ave in Fairhaven Twp.  Overnight, unknown person stole about 2800’ of telephone cable from an installation project.  Value of the theft is about $800.00
