Benton County Sheriff: Felony Theft of Trailer

The Benton County Sheriff is investigating a Theft from K and K Auto 187 Hwy 23 W Foley, MN. Overnight between 2-21-05 and 2-22-05, someone took a 2004 Newman's Incorporated Sledbed, white aluminum enclosed trailer, model #1ENC714, valued at $6095.


The trailer was parked in the parking lot at the store. The trailer has Newman signs in each of the upper corners, has a rear ramp door, a right side door, and a rock guard on the front.


St. Cloud Police: Construction Site Theft

The St. Cloud police are investigating the theft of tools from a construction site at 5510 Red Hawk Court. Between 5:00 PM on 01/28/05 and 11:00 AM on 02/01/05, someone broke the lock and pried off the latch on the contractor’s storage trailer. Approximately $7,000.00 in tools was stolen. The contractor was able to provide police with an itemized list, including serial numbers for many of the items.


Waite Park Police: Felony Theft

The Waite Park Police Department is investigating a theft from Signature Auto. The theft occurred at 1600 hrs on 2-15-05. A male suspect entered the store and used the restroom. While in the restroom the suspect is believed to have lit a cigarette and activated the fire alarm. When an employee went to check the alarm the suspect removed a DVD monitor valued at $1800.00.

The male suspect is described as a white male 25-30 years of age, 5’ 11” to 6'0, 165 lbs. He was wearing a Red baseball hat, Black pullover hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants. Suspect also had a thin red full faced beard.

The Waite Park Police Department is advising all retailers to be aware if this distraction and not leave their showroom or store unattended if this kind of diversion takes place. Be aware of your customers asking to use facilities in the store.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary

On 02/16/05 at 0255 hours officers were dispatched to 946 33rd Avenue North in reference to a burglary. Entry to the residence was gained through the front door using a pry tool.

The suspect(s) had gone through several rooms in the residence looking for valuables. Missing from the residence was a Koss DVD player taken from the entertainment center. Also missing from an upstairs bedroom was an unknown amount of jewelry belonging to the homeowner.

UPDATE:
On 02/17/05 at 0251 hours officers stopped a. suspicious vehicle near Cummings Lane and Clearwater Road. Investigation at the stop resulted in the arrest of four people for the burglary which occurred on 02/16/05 at 946 33rd Avenue North.

All the property that was taken during this burglary was recovered.

St. Cloud Police: Criminal Sexual Assault and Robbery (from week of February 14, 2005)

On 02/13/05 at approximately 0118 hours officers from the St. Cloud Police Department were dispatched to Beaudreau's Bar located at 414 East St. Germain St., on a sexual assault that had just occurred.

Investigation revealed that a male bad forced his way into a limousine where he made the 43 year old female driver drive to a location in Benton County and sexually assaulted her. The suspect displayed a knife and threatened to use it on the victim during the course of the sexual assault. Also taken from the limousine driver was an undetermined amount of cash proceeds from previous patrons of the using the limousine service.

After being assaulted, the suspect then forced the female to drive him around and he was ultimately dropped off in the area of 5th Avenue and 3rd Street Northeast, St, Cloud.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 25-30 years of age, 6-0, heavy set, wearing gray warm-up suit, and tennis shoes.

The victim was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital where she received medical attention.

2-17-05 Additional Information: The suspect in this matter was observed to have a bruise on his forehead that would have been noticeable, especially on 02/13/2005.

Pending Reward

Tri-County Crime Stoppers has approved a reward on a case from early in 2004. The tip, which resulted in this case being solved, was called into Crime Stoppers in October 2004. The caller was issued a case number. We are now waiting for that person to call back with their case number and make arrangements to accept their reward payment.

St. Cloud Police: Missing Person

MISSING PERSON: WENDY HIEHLE Endangered Missing Adult.
Born: 01-04-1968; Gender: Female; Height: 5’ 4”; Weight: 185 Lbs; Eyes: Brown; Hair: Brown; Race: White;

Missing Since June 10, 2004 From Hinckley, MN Circumstances of disappearance: Unknown.

Wendy was last seen in the vicinity of the 700 block of Lady Luck Dr. in Hinckley, MN. Her black, two door, 1990 Acura Integra was later located abandoned near the northbound off ramp joining 1-35 to Minnesota Highway 23 approximately 2 miles south of Hinckley, MN.

Wendy has a medical condition and needs medication.
