St. Cloud Police: 3 Arson Fires

On 03/24/05 between 0049 hours and 0126 hours St. Cloud police officers were dispatched to three separate arsons on the northeast side of St. Cloud. All of the arsons involved dumpsters at the following addresses: 1245 East St. Germain Street (private apartment complex), 16 14th Avenue Northeast (Little Dukes), and 144 East St Germain Street (private apartment complex).

At all three locations the fire was extinguished by the fire department and minimal damage was caused to the dumpsters. At the Little Dukes fire there was some smoke inside the building as well and it was unknown if it caused any damage.

No one was injured.

Stearns County Sheriff: Residential Burglary

On Tuesday, March 15, 2005 two daytime/evening residential burglaries were reported to the Stearns County Sheriff. Both were in the Pleasant Lake area of the city of Rockville. Taken were checks, coins, electronic equipment and a handgun. The checks are on accounts at the State Bank of Richmond, and the handgun is a Smith & Wesson .357 with a 6-7" barrel and light wood grips.

The M.O. on these cases is similar to the M.O. of recent burglaries in the city of St. Cloud.
