Waite Park Police: 2 Business Burglaries
Waite Park Police Department is investigating two commercial burglaries
that occurred over the weekend of March 26-28, 2005. Forced entry was used
to gain access to businesses on the 400 block of Great Oak Drive and 3rd
Street N.
St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary
On 03/28/05 at 0547 hours officers were dispatched to a burglary at
Schmidt Laboratories at 4605 Rusan Street. Upon arrival officers met with
a complainant who advised that vending machines had been pried into and
damaged. Officers secured the scene and determined there was forced entry
and processed the crime scene.
There are no suspects at this time.
St. Cloud Police: Criminal Damage to Property and Business Burglary
At approximately 0004 hours on 03/28/05, a power outage occurred in the
area of 13th Avenue SE and 7th Street SE.
Investigation revealed person(s) unknown threw metal wires over the power
lines, causing them to short out. A utility pole at the corner of 13th
Avenue SE and 7th Street SE caught fire.
While the power was out, the American Legion Post at 1307 Lincoln Avenue
SE was burglarized.
The St. Cloud Fire Department assisted at the scene during the power
outage.
The Public’s help is requested in locating any person(s) that may be
responsible for either the power outage and/or the burglary.
St. Cloud Police: Arson
On 03/28/05, at 0303 hours, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of
1500 East, St. Germain in reference to a complaint of a car fire. Upon
arrival, a 1991 Mitsubishi Gallant was found to be in flames from an
apparent arson. The St. Cloud Fire Department extinguished the flames.
Loss appears to be over $1,500.00. There are no suspects at this time.
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary
On 03/24/05, between 0630 hours and 0945 hours, an unknown suspect forced
entry into an apartment in the 500 block of 15th Avenue SE, through the
patio door.
Taken were a computer and two jewelry items.
St. Cloud Police: 3 Arson Fires
On 03/24/05 between 0049 hours and 0126 hours St. Cloud police officers
were dispatched to three separate arsons on the northeast side of St.
Cloud. All of the arsons involved dumpsters at the following addresses:
1245 East St. Germain Street (private apartment complex), 16 14th Avenue
Northeast (Little Dukes), and 144 East St Germain Street (private
apartment complex).
At all three locations the fire was extinguished by the fire department
and minimal damage was caused to the dumpsters. At the Little Dukes fire
there was some smoke inside the building as well and it was unknown if it
caused any damage.
No one was injured.
