Stearns County Sheriff: Residential Burglary

9-7-05, the SCSO received a report of a residential burglary on 382nd Street in Brockway Twp.  A private home was entered by breaking a garage window.  A Cobra radar detector was stolen from a truck in the garage.  Stolen from the house were about 50 DVD’s, a gold necklace in a white Goodman Jewelers box, a black hills gold necklace with a dark blue oval stone and bronze leaf, about $130 in change and a cell phone.  The burglary occurred during daytime hours. 

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary

On 09/07/0S at approximately 1815 hours residents of a home in the 400 block of 5th Avenue South while walking to their house observed a white male in his late forties to early fifties wearing a light blue T shirt and blue jeans exit their residence with a backpack and a case of beer. One of the residents confronted him and grabbed the items from the suspect. The suspect fled on an older blue mountain bike. The suspect entered through and unlocked door. No parties were injured.

St. Cloud Police: Robbery and Assault

On 09/02/05 at 0338 hours officers were dispatched to the area of 3rd Street North and 8th Avenue North for a robbery and an assault. Upon arrival officers learned an adult homeless male had been robbed and assaulted by approximately 4 males. His wallet was taken and he sustained moderate injuries to his face. The victim was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. The injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary

On 09/02/05 at approximately 0343 hours St. Cloud Police were dispatched to 300 block of 3rd Avenue South in reference to a burglary which had just occurred.

The complainant advised police that two unknown males had gained access to the residence through a 2nd story window and woke up the resident. The resident chased one of the white miles back out the window and onto the roof of a sun porch. The resident was able to grab hold of the suspect but the suspect pulled free and dropped to the ground, which was approximately 10 feet.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'9”, 185 pounds, with a muscular build. The suspect has short dark hair and no facial hair. The complainant witnessed the white male and another white male accomplice running southwest from the residence.

A search of the area yielded negative results.

Stearns County Sheriff: Theft of Road Signs

Over the past week, numerous street and hwy signs were stolen from the area around Georgeville in SW Stearns County.  The signs were 4 CR 69 signs, 2 Hwy 55 signs, and 1 Stearns County sign. 

Benton County Sheriff: Residential Burglary

The Benton County Sheriff is investigating a residential burglary in Section 21 St George Twp, Benton County. The crime was committed: 8/28 - 8/29/05. The thieves smashed a building window in a storage building. Taken were: 5 stationary Pella windows, valued at $3,000, a hanging Lennox furnace valued at $3,000, 12 alfalfa bags valued at $2,200, and other miscellaneous items.
