for Week of January 22, 2007

Sauk Rapids Police: 5 – Case Summaries

1-23-07, in the 1300 block of 13th Street Circle 1350. During the night two vehicles were broken into. An unknown type of CD player was taken from
the dash of the Chevrolet, a portable unknown brand was taken from the van.

1-23-07, in the 1300 block of 13th Street Circle Black Forest II. Party reported her unlocked vehicle had been gone thru sometime overnight. Nothing was taken. Contents of center console left on seat.

1-23-07, 400 block of 13th Avenue South Edgewood Court. Complainant reported that last night her car was broken into and the Pioneer CD player was taken, It
also appears that they attempted to hot wire the car.

1-23-07, 400 block of 412 15th St N. Complainant reported that sometime during the night, had entered his 1993 Mazda while parked in the driveway and attempted to remove the stereo. Nothing was taken.

1-23-07, 400 block of South Benton Drive Rand F Services. At 2:14pm, they had a gas drive off/$24.00 in gasoline. White car, possibly White Ford Taurus (no plate) with a white male driver wearing a baby blue hooded sweatshir1. Last seen N bound on North Benton Drive from the Shell station.

Avon and Sartell Police: Terroristic Threats

In the afternoon of 12-22-2006, the McDonald's Restaurant located in the City of
Avon received a telephone call from an unidentified caller. The caller stated that they had recently been fired from McDonalds. The caller also stated that they were armed and were going to come to the restaurant and shoot everyone. The caller also mentioned having a bomb strapped to their body and blowing up the store.

Shortly after the McDonald's Restaurant in Avon received this threat, the McDonald's Restaurant in Sartell received a similar threatening call.

Both the Avon and Sartell Police Departments are looking for any information related to these incidents.

Stearns County Sheriff: Residential Burglary  (From week of January 15, 2007)

1-12-07, SCSO received a report of a home burglary in progress on CR155 near St. Wendel.  A homeowner had arrived home, and heard noises coming from the upstairs of his home.  He confronted an adult male who fled the residence on foot.  The burglar had loaded a large amount of property into pillowcases preparing to leave the home.  Entry had been gained by forcing a door open.  The burglar was described as a white male, 6’, 170 lbs, thin face, wearing a purple or maroon stocking cap, blue jeans, brown carhart jacket, and having camo paint smeared on his face.  Time of call was 6:15pm. 

Stearns County Sheriff: Hit and Run  (From week of January 15, 2007)


On 11/5/06, SCSO was called to investigate a hit and run accident in the City of Holdingford.  At about 3:30am, a pickup truck hit a fire hydrant and utility pole, and left the scene traveling north on CR 9.  Investigation has shown the truck is a 94-02 red Dodge pickup, and should have extensive front end damage.
