for Week of January 29, 2007

Stearns County Sheriff: Burglary and Theft

On 1/19/07, SCSO received a report of a break in to a storage shed on 234th St in Rockville .  Unknown persons had forced entry to the shed and stole a Snap-On tool chest full of tools.  Tools stolen were hand and power tools of various makes including Snap-On, Matco, Craftsman, and Maac.  Estimated loss is $2000.00. 

Stearns County Sheriff: Residential Burglary and Vandalism
 
On 1/23/07, SCSO was called to a private home in Pleasant Acres housing addition in St. Wendel Twp.  During the daylight hours, unknown persons entered a private home through an unlocked door.  Once inside the vandalized the home, nothing was stolen, but the vandals used glue to glue the refrigerator door shut and glue down the toilet seats.  Other acts were also done and the matter was not a prank or joke of any kind. Significant amounts of damage were done.

Saturday, January 20

8:44 a.m. Vandalism, 800 block 10th St S. Homeowner reported that suspect(s) poured motor oil on the door and porch of his residence.

Tuesday, January 23

6:20 a.m. Motor vehicle tampering, 1400 block 8th Ave N. Vehicle window was smashed overnight while parked in driveway. Owner reported nothing was missing from the vehicle.

6:39 a.m. Motor vehicle tampering, 1400 block 8th Ave N. Owner reported his vehicle had been entered while it was parked overnight in his driveway. Nothing was reported as missing from the vehicle.

10:30 a.m. Theft, 200 block High Drive. An unlocked vehicle was entered while parked overnight in the driveway. A CD player and numerous CDs were taken.

Friday, January 26

12:30 p.m. Vandalism to vehicle, 500 block 1st Ave N. Stereo antenna was broken off and the air was let out of two tires while vehicle was parked in driveway overnight.
