submit tips on unsolved crimes in the tri-counties of Benton, Stearns and
Sherburne.

Create CommUNITY: Bias/Hate Crimes Reward Offer
Create CommUNITY is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information on
unsolved bias/hate crimes in the tri-county area. This information must
lead to an arrest and/or formal charging of the person or persons
responsible for committing the bias/hate crimes.
Tri-County Crime Stoppers is coordinating the processing of tips,
protecting the anonymity of the tipster and the payment of any rewards.

Minnesota State Statute, as the conduct that would constitute a crime and
was committed because of the victim’s or another’s actual or perceived
race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability as defined in
Minnesota State Statute section 363A.03, age or national origin.
St. Cloud Police:
Residential Burglary and Theft
On 12/24/07 at approximately 1912 hours, officers were dispatched to the
800 block of 8th Street North for a burglary. Investigation revealed that
someone entered a residence and stole a number of electronic items. The
house was unoccupied at the time of the burglary and there was no sign of
forced entry.
St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary and Theft
On 12/24/07 at approximately 1937 hour’s officers responded to the 3600
block of Division Street West for a burglary complaint. Investigation
revealed that on 12/24/07 between the hour's of 0335 and 1845 hours,
someone entered a business and stole cash from a till and from two pull
tab boxes. There were no signs of forced entry.
Officers had responded to this location on 12/24/07 at approximately 0336
hours for an alarm and had discovered an open door. At that time, officers
met with the key holder, who did not notice anything missing.
St. Cloud Police: 2nd
Degree Assault with Injuries
On 12/21/07 at approximately 0321 hours officers were dispatched to the
600 block of 5th, Avenue South for a stabbing complaint. The victim, a 21
year old St. Cloud resident, had been stabbed twice in the upper right
chest, once in the lower left abdomen, and once on the right elbow.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'8"-5'10", 190 pounds, wearing
a gray fleece jacket (possibly Columbia brand), blue jeans, stocking cap
and was holding a knife.
The victim was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life
threatening injuries.
St. Cloud Police: Assault
On 12/22/07 at approximately 0339 hours officers responded to the 1500
block of 16th, Avenue Southeast for a burglary complaint.
Investigation revealed that a Zachary Shane Fitzgerald, DOB 09/0/75, had
smashed out windows to a lower unit apartment and also threatened another
individual with a knife.
Officers were unable to locate Fitzgerald as he left prior to our arrival.
If anyone has any information on Fitzgerald's whereabouts they should
contact the St. Cloud police Department or Crime Stoppers at 255-1301.
