St. Cloud Police: Assault – No Pay

On 03/28/07 at 1810 hours St. Cloud police were dispatched to 328 5th Avenue South, Campus Station gas station, in reference to a gas no pay.

The investigation revealed that a white male between the ages of 20-22 years old with a large white neck brace left the area in a green Bonneville with no plates. As the suspect was leaving the area a store employee was dragged approximately 10-12 feet while attempting to stop the suspect from leaving.

Waite Park Police: Suspicious activity Attempted Thefts


The Waite Park Police Department is investigating several suspicious activity complaints at local businesses. There have been several complaints of a suspicious person in and around local businesses during normal business hours.

The man is reportedly gaining access to private areas of businesses by using entrances not normally open to the public. The man has been interrupted looking through purses and personal belongings of employees. He is gaining access through unlocked doors to the rear of the businesses.

These cases remain under investigation and the Waite Park Police Department urges local businesses to secure all entrances not open to the public and report any suspicious activity.

St. Cloud and Waite Park Police: Business Burglary

03/25/07 at approximately 0439 hours officers from the St. Cloud Police Department and Waite Park Police Department responded to JM Speedstop, 3535 West St. Germain Street, for an alarm. Officers noticed the front door of the business was smashed in and with assistance of the Waite Park Police Department's K9 the building was secured.

Taken from the business were four empty bank deposit bags. The suspect is described as a white male wearing all dark clothing. Nothing else was taken or damaged.

St. Cloud Police: Theft from a Motor Vehicle and Arson

On 03/25/07 the St. Cloud Police Department was notified of a theft from motor vehicle and arson.

Investigation revealed sometime within the past couple of days a vehicle was parked in a driveway in the 1100 block of 9th Avenue Southeast. Unknown persons entered the unlocked vehicle in an attempt to remove the in-dash stereo. After the theft occurred the inside of the vehicle was burned, causing extensive damage. The stereo faceplate was found across the street. The fire Marshall came to the scene to assist with the investigation.

St. Cloud Police: Assault and Robbery

On 03/26/07 at 0740 hours St. Cloud Police received a phone call from a business located in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue Southeast. The business was ca1ling on behalf of a male that entered the business to say that he had been robbed and assaulted.

The victim was intoxicated and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance. The victim stated two black males, approximately 5'9", dragged him into the woods where they assaulted him and took his wal1et. At this time police have not determined where the assault occurred.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

Officers were dispatched to 800 block of 6th Avenue South on 03/26/07 at approximately 2055 hours for a burglary complaint. The exterior door to the residence was unlocked and one of the interior bedroom doors was kicked in. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the burglary. Stolen were miscellaneous DVDS and tools.

Benton County Sheriff: Attempted Residential Burglary

Details of incident: At app. 1515 hours on 03-06-07, a nine year old boy was getting off of the bus in front of his residence on Cottage Grove Ave., Foley, MN. The boy reported seeing a male subject sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked in front of his residence who was reading a book. The male subject looked at the boy and continued to stay in the vehicle. The boy entered his residence and locked the door. A short time later the male subject in the vehicle came to the front door of the residence. The male subject rang the door bell and knocked several times saying “let me in”. The male subject then went to the back door where he rang the door bell and knocked several times saying again “let me in”. The boy reported that the male subject put his hip into the door to attempt to open it. Suspect was wearing a red, spring type, zipper jacket red in color and black jeans. Suspect was wearing a gold ring on the right ring finger.

Sex: Male Race: Caucasian Age: 30-40’s Ht. 6’-0” Weight .Med. Build Hair Black – one inch long, messy
Eyes Unk. Misc. info Acne and scars on face Clean shaven, light skinned

Vehicle description: Older dark blue, four door car w/gray wheels/rims. Outer front passenger door handle missing. Boy reported that back seat was filled with clear plastic garbage bags as if the suspect was homeless.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary in Progress

On 03/22/07 at 1919 hours officers were dispatched to 400 block of 5th Avenue South for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival officers learned that an unknown black male 17 to 22 years of age, approximately 5'10" to 6'0" in height with an afro style haircut and a skinny build had been in the victim's residence and stolen a laptop computer.

The victim saw the male get into a beige Mazda passenger car with no rear license plate and leave the area.

St. Cloud Police: Theft from Residential Property

On 03/23/07 at approximately 1745 hours officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3200 block of Bent Tree Drive for a theft complaint.

Investigation revealed that unknown persons had removed several items from the back yard of a residence while the home owner was away. This theft occurred sometime between the end of January and today. The items that were taken include a large stone fountain with a lion's head, a metal gazebo, an outdoor bar, and miscellaneous statues. Most of these items were extremely heavy and it would have taken several people to remove them.

Sartell Police: 5 – Case Summaries

Tuesday, March 13

7:20 a.m. Vandalism, 1300 block of 4th Ave N. Rear window was broken out on two vehicles that were parked in the homeowner’s driveway overnight.

11:00 a.m. Vandalism, 900 block of 4th Ave N. Rear window was broken out on vehicle that was parked outside residence overnight.

8:22 p.m. Vandalism, 200 block of 10th St N. Rear window was broken out on vehicle parked in driveway overnight.

Wednesday, March 14

1:00 p.m. Vandalism, 400 block of 15th St N. Fence post caps were removed and thrown into homeowner’s yard.

Sunday, March 18

3:20 p.m. Theft, 600 block of 9th St N. Vehicle owner reported that the front license plate was stolen from her vehicle.
