for Week of April 2, 2007
Paynesville Police: Business Burglary
On March 16, 2007, Friday, at approximately 0635 hours, officers were
called to a burglary that occurred at the Paynesville SuperValue grocery
store. Suspect(s) entered the store and gained access to the office
through the bathroom ceiling. A large amount of cash and coin was taken
from the safe. No exterior damage to the business was found.
Waite Park Police: Business Burglary
On 4/5/07 a Waite Park officer observed the wood kicked out of a window
that was previously boarded up at Camille's Cafe. A day prior someone
drove their vehicle into the side of Camille's Café, 601 2nd Street S,
causing damage to the side of the building and breaking a window. The
business then boarded up the window until repairs could be made. The
officer noticed the board kicked out and called for a dog to search the
building. No one was located inside the building. An undisclosed amount of
cash was taken from the business.
Sartell Police: 4 – Case Summaries
Tuesday, March 27
12:30 p.m. Found property, 1000 block of 17th St S. Male reported he found
a safe lying in the grass in an open area. The safe had been reported
stolen from a home in St. Cloud that had been burglarized. The safe was
turned over to St. Cloud Police.
2:30 p.m. Found property. A camcorder was turned into the Sartell Police
Department by two juveniles who reported that they found it on the curb.
Thursday, March 29
9:54 a.m. Theft, 300 block of 7th St N. A white Apple Ipod was stolen from
an unlocked vehicle that was parked overnight.
Friday, March 30
2:15 p.m. Burglary, 600 block of Brianna Drive. Suspect(s) had broken off
the door knob of a vacant home which is currently on the market, entered
the home, and stole the outer portion of the central vacuum system from
the garage and a set of custom blinds from a bedroom. The washing machine
was also moved from inside the home and was located inside the garage.
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary
On 04/02/07 at approximately 2130 hours officers were dispatched to the
600 block of 4th Street South for a complaint of someone entering a rental
residence with a gun. Upon arrival the victim, a 64 year old female
resident stated that an unknown person had entered the hallway to the
rental portion of the residence by forcing open the exterior door. The
victim had gone to the second floor of the rental property prior to
realizing what had happened at which time she was confronted by the armed
suspect displaying a handgun. The male pointed the gun at the victim and
then left the residence in an unknown direction.
The suspect was described as a 16 to 18 year old dark skinned black male
wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants. The victim was
not injured during the incident.
St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary
St. Cloud Police were dispatched to Taco John's downtown on 03/30/07 at
0647 hours reference a burglary. An unknown suspect forced entry and stole
an undetermined amount of money. There was minor damage to the business.
