for Week of April 9, 2007
St. Cloud Police: Hit and Run
On
04/12/07 at approximately 2314 hours officers responded to the area of the
3700 block of County Road 75 for a hit and run accident that damaged a
street/light electrical pole.
A vehicle had gone off the roadway and struck the street light/electrical
pole and knocked it to the ground. The driver had left his vehicle add the
area prior to officers arriving on scene.
Excel Energy came to the scene and took care of the street
light/electrical pole. It appeared that no one was injured in this
accident.
Sartell Police: 1 –
Case Summary
Sunday, April 8
5:23 p.m. Criminal damage, Riverboat Depot parking lot. A male reported
that one of the tires on his vehicle was slashed while it was parked in
the parking lot the previous evening.
Waite Park Police: Aggravated
Robbery
On 04-06-07, the Waite Park Police Department received a call that a Cold
Spring man was physia1ly assaulted and had his wallet and other persona\
property stolen. The victim reported that two acquaintances had committed
the crime in the 1000 block of 2nd Street North in the City of Waite Park.
The victims' parents took him to the hospital to be treated for injuries
from the assault. He was treated and later released.
The Waite Park Police investigated the complaint and arrested a 17 year
old Waite Park man. The department is still seeking to arrest a 15 year
old Waite Park man in connection with tile assault.
St. Cloud Police: Business
Burglary
On 4/8/07 at approximately 0740 hours, offices were dispatched to
Crosstown Auto, 7285 County Road 75, for a burglary complaint. The front
door of the business was smashed in. Several items inside were damaged and
an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Stearns County
Sheriff: Church Burglary
On April 4th 2007 this department investigated a theft which took place at
St. Mary's Church in Holdingford. There were several items taken from the
church during this event. Taken were two, gold plated challis and a gold
plated holy water sprinkler. On the base of each of the two challises is a
cross.
Paynesville Police:
Business Burglary (From week of April 2, 2007)
On March 16, 2007, Friday, at approximately 0635 hours, officers were
called to a burglary that occurred at the Paynesville SuperValue grocery
store. Suspect(s) entered the store and gained access to the office
through the bathroom ceiling. A large amount of cash and coin was taken
from the safe. No exterior damage to the business was found.
