Crime Stoppers Open Cases
for Week of June 18, 2007

St. Cloud Police: Stolen Vehicle

On 06/20/07 at approximately 0009 hours officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North for a stolen vehicle complaint.

Investigation revealed that Minnesota license NJW496 was taken in the last three days by an unknown person. The vehicle is described as a 1995 green four-door Honda Accord with a dent on the rear passenger side quarter panel.

St. Cloud Police: Armed Robbery


On 06/20/07 at 2155 hours officers were dispatched to 701 9th Avenue South, for a robbery. Investigation revealed that an unknown white male, approximately .5'09", wearing a dark colored baseball hat with a white bandana which had money signs on it covering his face, a dark colored shirt with the sleeves rolled up, baggy blue jeans, and blue medical gloves on his hands, had pointed a silver semiautomatic handgun at the cashier demanding money.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the business. The suspect then fled on foot. Officers set up a perimeter but were unable to locate the suspect.

Waite Park Police: Counterfeit AAA Travelers Checks


Waite Park Police Department has been receiving numerous complaints about fake AAA Travelers Checks being cashed in the area. AAA does not issue Traveler's Checks over $100. The checks circulating are issued for $500. Businesses should not cash these checks. Citizens should be advised that these checks are also circulating over the internet and being sent to people.

Waite Park Police: Business Burglary and Theft


On 6/16/2007 it was reported to the Waite Park Police Department that someone broke a drive up window and gained entry into the Meeting Grounds located at 139 W Division Street. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the business. This business was also burglarized in the same manner on 5/22/2007.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary

On 06/16/07 at approximately 0315 hours officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of University Drive Southeast, for a burglary. A 21 year old female victim reported she was awaken by an unknown male walking through the hallway of her apartment only described as being approximately 6'4" with a muscular build, wearing basketball Shorts and a white T-shirt.

It is believed the male exited the apartment through the second story living room window. Nothing appeared to have been stolen and the victim was not assaulted.

St. Cloud Police: Hit and Run with Personal Injury

On 06/15/07 at approximately 1324 hours officers were dispatched to a five car chain reaction accident on Highway 15 southbound near 8th Street North. The accident was initially caused by a silver passenger car which left the scene prior to officer's arrival.

The driver of one of the struck vehicles was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross for non life threatening injuries. A four year old male passenger of another struck vehicle was also transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross for possible injuries.

The hit and run vehicle, described as a silver passenger car, will have front end damage and was driven by an unknown male.
