Elk River Police: Aggravated Assault with Injuries
On
7-10-07 at 1: 36 am~ Officers from the Elk River Police Department
responded to a burglary in progress at a residence located at 19806 Rush
Street. The initial call was that the lone suspect was known to the
homeowner and that an ambulance was needed for unknown injuries to someone
inside the house.
On arrival officers found that the 26 year old female victim had been
asleep in her bedroom when she awoke to see her ex-boyfriend, ROBERT
JOSHUA SHAW, DOB/5-24-80 standing over her bed. The victim stood up and
she was attacked by Shaw, who stabbed her multiple times. The victim
suffered non-fatal wounds to her head, face, chest and arms. The suspect
fled the residence when he was confronted by other occupants of the home.
Police later learned that the suspect had been driven to the residence
where after he was dropped off, he broke into the home through a basement
window, entered the bedroom and attacked the victim. The victim resides in
the residence with her parents, ages 47 and 46, and two small children.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for
her wounds. Elk River Police with the assistance of several metro police
departments have been checking addresses for the suspect, but at this time
he is still at large, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Stearns County Sheriff: Business Burglary and Theft
On 6/27/07 the Stearns County Sheriff’s received a report of a burglary to
a shop on 95th Ave in Brockway Twp. Unknown persons entered the
shop/garage by forcing a door. Taken from the shop were a Milwaukee
Drill, Sony CD player, Kicker 400 watt amp, Yamaha acoustic guitar, Snap
on drill bit set, misc hand tools including pliers, vice grips, breaker
bars. Also taken was an air grinder, a DeWalt grinder, a chop saw and a
Pioneer CD player.
Stearns County
Sheriff: Business Burglary and Theft
Between 2300 hours on July 8th and 1530 hours on July 9th, someone used
force to enter a door to the community center at the St. Rosa Park. It
was discovered that the suspect took a 36'' Sony Vega TV serial# 9077472,
and a Toshiba VCR/DVD player.
St. Cloud Police: Robbery and Theft
On 07/11/07 at approximately 0329 hours officers were dispatched to the
area of 16th Avenue and 3rd Street North in reference to a robbery
complaint.
Investigation revealed that a 21 year old resident of St. Cloud was
walking in the area of 16th Avenue North and 3rd Street North when she was
approached by an unknown female, described as 5' 3", 150 pounds, and
having dark brown hair. The victim's purse was stolen without injury to
her. The female suspect then fled on foot from area.
St. Cloud Police: Aggravated Assault by Stabbing
On 7/11/07 at approximately 0545 hours, officers were dispatched to the
St. Cloud Hospital, regarding an assault report. The investigation
revealed that a 20 year old black male from St. Cloud received a stab
wound to his chest.
The victim was parked in his car in the parking lot of J. M. Speed Stop,
1501 Northway Drive, when two black males approached him. One of the males
reached into the window of his vehicle and stabbed him in the chest. The
victim received non-life threatening injuries.
Special Request from the Meeker County Sheriff: 2 Armed
Robberies

The Meeker
County Sheriff’s 0ffice is asking for the public's assistance in
identifying this individual.
On June 8, 2007 at 9;13 p.m., Mike's Standard in Eden Valley, MN was
robbed at gunpoint by a Hispanic male. The suspect is in his med 20’s,
5’8” to 5’10”, wearing baggy blue jeans, a white bandana over his face,
and a black hat. The suspect produced a silver semiautomatic handgun
during the robbery and stated something to the effect “he had a family to
feed”. The suspect forced the clerk into the back room while he fled.
On July 4, 2007 at 1025am, Roger’s Liquor Store in Grove City, MN was
robbed at gunpoint by a Hispanic male. The suspect was in his mid 20’s,
5’8” to 5’10”, 150-160 pounds, dark short hair, and brown eyes with very
bushy eyebrows. The suspect was wearing a brown zip up long sleeve shirt
and faded blue jeans, along with a yellow bandana over his face. The
suspect produced a silver semiautomatic handgun during the robbery and
made a similar statement to the clerk reference “he had a family to feed”.
The suspect then fled, unknown direction or mode of travel.

St. Cloud Police:
Residential Burglary and Theft
On 07/09/07 at approximately 1736 hours officers were dispatched to a
burglary complaint in the 100 block of 4th Avenue Southeast.
Investigation revealed that a laptop valued at $1,700 had been taken from
the residence. The doors to the apartment were left unlocked and nothing
had been damaged.
Waite Park Police:
Damage to Property- Possibly Residential Burglary Attempt
Waite Park Police Department is investigating a Damage to Property,
possibly Burglary attempt, on the 100 block of 3rd Avenue N. The resident
reported finding a screen to their home had been removed. The resident
does not know exactly when the damage occurred, but it is believed to have
occurred sometime within the last two weeks.
Waite Park Police:
Theft of Bike
Waite Park Police Department received a report of a stolen bike from 212
Park Meadows Drive. The bike is described as a Redline “Petty Cash” BMX
style bike. The lock was broken and the bike was taken. The bike is
described as a grey in color with worn grips and a ripped seat.
Waite Park Police: 2 - Business
Burglaries and Theft
Waite Park Police Department is investigating two business burglaries that
occurred on Saturday, July 8th at about 430 am. Suspect(s) broke a window
at each business to gain entry into the Laundry Depot and the Classic
Image Salon located on 1st Street S. An undisclosed amount of cash was
taken.
Waite Park Police: Attempted Armed Robbery
The Waite Park Police Department is investigating an attempted armed
robbery at the Ultimate Sports Liquor Store at 1119 Division St in Waite
Park. At about 8:45 pm, on Thursday, July 5th, a man came in to the store
and displayed a handgun and demanded the money from the clerk. The suspect
ran off before getting any money when confronted by a second employee. The
suspect was described as a shorter white man in his 20’s. The police
department is looking for any information relating to this crime. Tips can
