Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of August 13, 2007

St. Cloud Police: Simple Robbery and Assault

On 08/16/07 at approximately 0030 hours officers were dispatched to the area of 7th, Avenue South and 8th Street South for a robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with a 21 year old male from St. Cloud, who had been assaulted and robbed.

Investigation revealed that two white males in their early twenties, both about 6'0" tall and 180 pounds, assaulted this male and took his wallet and food. The first male was wearing a white polo and had blonde hair, the second male was wearing a blue shirt with a blue baseball cap.

The victim was brought to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Special Request from the Meeker County Sheriff: 2 Armed Robberies   (From week of July 9, 2007)

 

The Meeker County Sheriff’s 0ffice is asking for the public's assistance in identifying this individual.

On June 8, 2007 at 9;13 p.m., Mike's Standard in Eden Valley, MN was robbed at gunpoint by a Hispanic male. The suspect is in his med 20’s, 5’8” to 5’10”, wearing baggy blue jeans, a white bandana over his face, and a black hat. The suspect produced a silver semiautomatic handgun during the robbery and stated something to the effect “he had a family to feed”. The suspect forced the clerk into the back room while he fled.

On July 4, 2007 at 1025am, Roger’s Liquor Store in Grove City, MN was robbed at gunpoint by a Hispanic male. The suspect was in his mid 20’s, 5’8” to 5’10”, 150-160 pounds, dark short hair, and brown eyes with very bushy eyebrows. The suspect was wearing a brown zip up long sleeve shirt and faded blue jeans, along with a yellow bandana over his face. The suspect produced a silver semiautomatic handgun during the robbery and made a similar statement to the clerk reference “he had a family to feed”. The suspect then fled, unknown direction or mode of travel.

Waite Park Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

Waite Park Police Department is investigating a burglary in the 400 block of 7th Street S. The victim stated on August 5th, at approximately 5:00 pm, she received a call from a friend stating her front door lock had been pried off and her laptop was missing from inside. The laptop is described as a Dell laptop computer, model 1505. There is a sticker on the laptop of a white skull. The laptop is valued at $1,200.

Sartell Police: 1 – Case Summary

Sunday, August 12

2:50 p.m. Property damage, 2300 block of Troop Drive. construction company reported two windows smashed in on construction trailer.

Benton County Sheriff: School Burglary and Theft


On 8/5/07 at approximately 12:20pm, Benton County Deputies responded to a burglary complaint at the Foley High School. Deputies were informed that the burglary happened Saturday night 8/4/07-8/5/07. Suspects gained entrance by breaking a glass in the door. Suspects entered both the Intermediate and High School.

Suspects damaged several vending machines and removed cash and coins from the machines. Suspects also took a laptop computer and tools.

St. Cloud Police: Vehicle Theft


On 08/11/07 at approximately 0345 hours officers were dispatched to 5400 Foundry Circle, for a report of a stolen vehicle.

The victim, a 21 year old residence of Grey Eagle, advised officers that his 1990 Chevrolet Geo Prism, Minnesota license plate UJM-283, had been stolen out of the parking lot sometime between 2130 hours on 08/10/07 and 0230 hours on 08/11/07.

The keys were left in the car and the car was unlocked at the time it was taken.

Wright County Sheriff: Homicide Investigation and Vehicle Theft



The Wright County Sheriff’s Office has requested assistance from Tri-County Crime Stoppers as they are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in a homicide that occurred in the 200 block of 36th St. SW in Montrose Minnesota.

The victim was discovered on Saturday, August 4, 2007 and died as a result of homicidal violence. The sheriff’s office has determined that the homicide is connected to a burglary which occurred on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in the 300 block of 45th St. SW in Montrose Minnesota. Several guns were taken in that burglary which have not been located.

Through investigation the sheriff’s office has determined that the person of interest and the victim’s vehicle was last seen in Monticello Minnesota on August 3, 2007, and the person of interest indicated he was attempting to locate I94 and may be headed to North Dakota. He is believed to be traveling with an unknown person, possibly female, in the victim’s 2002 blue Jeep Grand Cherokee, MN Lic #HVT377. The person of interest should be considered armed and dangerous.
