Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of November 10, 2008

St. Cloud Police: Theft of Motor Vehicle

On 11/12/08 at approximately 0114 hours officers were patrolling the 1200 block of Washington and were advised by a 21 year old male of St. Cloud that his motor vehicle, a tan Nissan Maxima, bearing Minnesota license NHK503, had been stolen from the visitor's parking lot.

The motor vehicle had been taken between 2300 hours and 0100 hours and it was locked prior to its theft. Officers checked the area and placed an alert for the stolen motor vehicle.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft


On 11/11/08 at approximately 1845 hours officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Wilson Avenue Northeast in reference to the complaint of a burglary of a garage.

Investigation revealed that an unknown individual(s) had entered and left the garage through the rafters or through a hole in the wall. A window of a vehicle was shattered and electronic equipment, along with other miscellaneous items, were taken.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft


On 11/11/08 at approximately 1853 hours officers were dispatched to the 400 block of 23rd Avenue North for a burglary.

Investigation revealed that the front door of the residence had been pried open and electronic equipment had been taken sometime between 0845 hours and 1745 hours on 11/11/08.

Waite Park Police: Business Burglary and Theft

On 11/09/2008 at 1349 hrs, Waite Park Police Department officers responded to a burglary at Regal Contractors Inc. & Heartland Drywall located at 717 Julep Road in the City of Waite Park. The business was entered sometime over the weekend and over $10,000 dollars of tools and property was taken.

Anyone seeing any suspicious activity in this area or anyone with information is asked to contact the Waite Park Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

St. Cloud Police: Vandalism to Vehicles

On 11/11/08 at approximately 0011 hours officers were dispatched to Vos Motors, 1850 7th Street North for vandalism to vehicle complaint.

Investigation revealed that 16 vehicles had sustained window damage. Officers notified the owner of the business.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 11/10/08 at approximately 1539 hours officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Garfield Court, in reference to a burglary.

Investigation revealed that an unknown person(s) gained entry through a porch window sometime between Friday, 11/07/08 at 0630 hours and Monday, 11/10/08, at 1530 hours.

Taken from the residence was one X-Box 360, three Nintendo DS systems, and one AT&T Samsung flip phone. No one was home at the time of the incident

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 11/09/08 at approximately 2349 hours officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 9th Avenue South for a burglary report.

Investigation revealed that on 11/08/08 between 2200 and 2310 hours an unknown person{s) had entered the apartment through an unlocked front door and removed two laptops and a backpack.

Two residents were home during the time of the burglary; however, were in other rooms, and subsequently were never aware that someone had entered the apartment.

Stearns County Sheriff: Hit-and-Run (From week of 11-3-2008)

At approximately 6:14 p.m., on October 31st, a bicyclist was struck by a passing southbound vehicle on County Road 133 in St. Joseph TWP.  This occurred just south of the intersection of 320th Street and Mullen Rd.  This agency is also looking for a 1996 to 2000 Dodge / Chrysler style mini van.  The vehicle would be missing the passenger side mirror assembly and radio antenna.
 
The Stearns County Sheriff’s office is asking for any information relating to this accident.

Benton County Sheriff: Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property and Arson  (From week of 11-3-2008)

At approx. 5: 18 a.m. on 10/23/08 Benton County Sheriffs Office dispatch received a report of a fire at Granite City Roofing, 1095 39th Ave. NE., Minden Township. Sauk Rapids Fire Dept. and Benton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene.

Upon arrival they discovered a 2007 Chevrolet Pickup that was parked inside of the business that was on fire. This vehicle was owned by Granite City Roofing. Further investigation revealed that a burglary had occurred at the business and that two other vehicles had also been damaged.

Total damage to the building and vehicles is estimated at $160,000.00.
A witness reported that a person was seen running from the vicinity of the business just prior to the report of the fire. No further description on the suspect is available. This fire has been ruled as a suspicious/arson fire by the state fire marshals office.
