submit tips on unsolved crimes in the tri-counties of Benton, Stearns and
Sherburne.

Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of December 22, 2008
Waite Park Police: Vehicle Theft
On 12/20/2008 it was reported to Waite Park Police Department that a 1994
Ford Aerostar Van, MN License HMR 899, red in color, was taken from the
City of Waite Park. The vehicle appears to have been taken between 8pm on
12/19/08 and 10am on 12/20/08.
Waite Park Police: Vehicle Theft
On 12/22/2008 it was reported to the Waite Park Police Department that a
2003 Yamaha Raptor, black in color, along with a 2006 Tesk Trailer, black
with license ABYL060 was taken from the 1500 block of 7th Street S. The
trailer and ATV were last seen in early December.
Sauk Rapids Police: Armed
Robbery
On December 14, 2008 at about 1951 hours, a robbery was reported to have
occurred at the gas station/convenience store at 400 South
Benton Drive.
Two males entered the business; one of the men displayed a dark colored
semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. The clerk turned over an
undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect ran from the from the building.
They entered a light colored, older, 4 door sedan, similar in style to an
1980's Olds Cutlass Sierra.
Suspect 1: possessed the black semi-automatic hand gun, Caucasian, was 5-9
to 5-10 in height, with a heavy to medium build, wearing all black
clothing, with a nylon pulled over his head and face. His age is estimated
from late teens to early 20's. Suspect 1 had a very strong Spanish accent.
Suspect 2: Caucasian, was 5-9 to 5-10 in height, with a medium build,
wearing all black clothing that included a black vest and hooded sweat
shirt with the hood pulled covering his face. His age is estimated from
late teens to early 20's.

St. Cloud Police: Business
Burglary and Theft
On 12/22/08 at approximately 0318 hours, officers were dispatched to the
2900 block of Division Street West for an alarm.
Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) entered the business by
breaking the front glass window. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole two
video game consoles after breaking into a cabinet. Officers determined
that the suspect(s) left the business through a rear entrance. The
business was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

St. Cloud Police: 2 – Robberies
and Thefts
On 12/19/08, officers responded to two robberies in the northeast side of
St. Cloud. The first robbery occurred in the 10 block of Wilson Avenue
Northeast at approximately 2025 hours. The second robbery was reported in
the 300 block of 2nd Avenue Northeast at approximately 2146 hours.
The first victim, age 57 of St. Cloud, was approached by four black males
who displayed a handgun and demanded money.
The second victim, age 37 of Sauk Rapids, was approached by a black male
as she was walking to her car, which was parked on the street. The suspect
displayed a handgun and physically forced her wallet from her.
Officers checked the areas with the assistance of a Benton County K9. No
suspects were located in the areas. Officers began patrolling the area in
unmarked squad cars to attempt to locate possible suspects with negative
results.
The suspects in both robberies were described as a black male,
approximately 5'6", one wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the other
wearing a red puffy jacket.
