Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of May 12, 2008
St. Cloud Police: 1st Degree Burglary
and 2nd Degree Assault
On 05/l5/08 at approximately 0425 hours officers were dispatched to the
500 block of 13th Street South regarding a 1st degree burglary and a 2nd
degree assault.
Investigation revealed that a 20 year old male resident of St. Cloud had
been forced down onto his bed in his bedroom at gun point, and had money
stolen from his room.
The victim described the suspects as two white males, 20 to 26 year§ of
age, and wearing all black. Further investigation revealed that the males
had made forced entry through the front door of the residence. The victim
sustained no injuries from the incident.
Stearns County Sheriff: Construction Site Theft
On 5/14/08, the SCSO received a report of a theft from a construction area
off CR 54 west of Avon. Forced entry was made to a construction trailer,
and a Makita ˝ inch impact wrench, a Milwaukee Super Shooter drill, and
misc smaller items were stolen. Also stolen was approx 450 gallons of
diesel fuel from heavy equipment and a fuel tank. Two batteries were
stolen from an excavator at the site.
Sartell Police: 1 – Case Summary
Sunday, May 11
8:50 p.m. Theft, 300 block of 3rd Street North. Two bikes were stolen from
the front of the residence. The bikes were described as: a white 20” boys
Redline BMX, and a blue 20” boys Redline BMX.
St. Cloud Police: Aggravated Assault
with Injuries
On 5-10-08 at 0150 hours, officers were flagged down by some citizens who
report that an individual had been assaulted near the House of Pizza at
500 1st Street So. The officers found the 27 year old male victim, lying
face up on the pavement.
Two witnesses reported that the victim was assaulted by a black male,
approximately 5’9” and between 21 and 29 years of age, wearing black
pants. He was last seen running south, near Rum Runners. No further
description was available.
The victim was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital, where he was treated
for a broken nose, facial bruises and lacerations.
Authorities are looking for anyone who may have observed this incident to
contact them or Tri-County Crime Stoppers.
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary
and Theft
On 05/10/08 at approximately 0334 hours, officers were dispatched to the
500 block of 7th Avenue South, for a burglary. Investigation revealed that
sometime between 0100 hours and 0330 hours on 05/10/08.
Suspect(s) had entered an occupied residence through an unlocked window
and had stolen a laptop computer. No one was injured during the burglary.
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 05/10/08 at approximately 0530 hours, officers were dispatched to the
800 block of 7th Avenue South, for a burglary report.
Officers met with the complainant, age 23 of St. Cloud, who advised that
in the early morning hours, his residence had been burglarized. Taken in
the burglary was various cash and change, along with a 32" television, an
IPod and a digital camera. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the
burglary.
St. Cloud Police: 2 – Motel
Burglaries, Thefts including a Vehicle Theft
On 05/10108 at approximately 2215 hours officers were dispatched to the
Kelly Inn, 100 4111 Avenue South, in reference to a theft.
Officers met the victim, a 34 year old male resident of Clear Lake, who
stated that an unknown person entered his room at the Kelly and stole
several items, including a laptop and some credit cards.
Another item stolen was a set of keys to the victim's vehicle, which is a
2004 Chevrolet Trailblazar bearing Minnesota license MBD 034.
A second victim, a 39 year old male resident of Coon Rapids, also had
credit cards and cash stolen from him.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle was not located where it was last
parked by the victim.
