Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of May 19, 2008
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary
and Theft
On 05/20/08 at approxima1ely 2143 hours, officers responded to the 800
block of McKinley Place South, for a report of a burglary. Investigation
revealed that a white male with a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball
hat, blue jeans, and a backpack had entered an unoccupied residence
through an unlocked back door and stole cash and a social security card.
The victim, age 23 of St. Cloud, was not home at the time the incident
occurred. When the victim arrived home, he observed the male leaving on a
dark-colored Huffy mountain bike in an unknown direction.
Waite Park Police: Theft from Vehicle
Waite Park Police Department is investigating a report of a the theft of a
catalytic converter stolen off of a 1990 black Toyota pickup sometime
between Friday May 9th and Monday May 12th . The vehicle was parked on the
400 blk 2nd Street S when the theft occurred.
St. Cloud Police: 1st Degree Burglary
and Theft
On 05/19/08 at approximately 1843 hours, officers were dispatched to the
800 block of 17th Avenue South for a burglary. Upon arrival, officers
learned that someone had entered the residence through an unlocked door
and had stolen money and other items while the owner was outside doing
yard work. A second burglary with similar circumstances was reported a
short time later, one block away on Garfield Court.
Residents are encouraged to contact the police department if they witness
any suspicious activity.
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 05/19/08 at approximately 2117 hours officers responded to the 1500
block of Garfield Court for 8 burglary. Upon arrival officers met up with
the victim, a 27 year old St. Cloud resident, who stated that between 1800
hours and 2115 hours an unknown person gained entry into the residence and
sifted through personal belongings.
The victim stated that were several items missing including a piece of
luggage. No one was home at the time of the incident.
St. Cloud Police: Felony Damage to
Property
On 05/17/08 at approximately 1911 hours, officers were dispatched to
Washington Memorial Drive and County Road 75 for a report of four black
juvenile males who were throwing rocks at vehicles. One of the victims
gave chase, but upon officers' arrival on scene, neither the victims nor
the officers were able to locate the suspects.
One suspect was described as wearing a blue pullover windbreaker, one
wearing a black, white, and red basketball jersey, one wearing a black and
yellow shirt, and one wearing a brown zip-up sweatshirt. It is believed
that the suspects live in the area of 16th Avenue and 15th Street South.

Waite Park Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
Waite Park Police Department is investigating a report of a garage
burglary on the 500 blk of Aberdeen Drive that occurred on May 5, 2008.
Taken from the garage were tools, golf clubs and a stereo.
Waite Park Police: Business Burglary and Theft
Waite Park Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at
Goodwill, 50 2nd Avenue S, in Waite Park. At approximately 730 am on May
16, 2008 officers were called to a report of a burglary. The officers
arrived to find a broken window and a 42’ Philips plasma TV missing from
the store.
Please report any suspicious activity, including vehicles or people in
your neighborhood, around your business, or in the area.
St. Cloud Police: 1st Degree Burglary and Theft
On 05/16/08 at 1740 hours officers were dispatched to the 700 block of
18th Avenue South for a burg1ary in progress. Upon arrival officers
located a 27 year old female homeowner. Officers were advised that the
homeowner had been upstairs when an unknown suspect gained entry through
an open garage door and pried open the door to the house.
The suspect took a wallet out of the female's purse, along with an unknown
amount of cash, and left the area. The homeowner had the door dead bolted
and it appears that it was pried open with an unknown tool.
