Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of June 30, 2008

St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary and Theft

On 06/30/08 officers responded to a storage unit, located in the 2200 block of Roosevelt Road, for a burglary complaint. Through investigation, it was determined that the unidentified person(s) had gained access into the building through forced entry. Various mechanical equipment, including numerous spools of copper wire, were stolen.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft


On 07/01/08 at 1558 hours, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Garfield Court, in reference to a burglary complaint. Through investigation, officers learned between 0630 hours and 1530 hours unknown person(s) gained access into the unoccupied dwelling and stole two laptop computers and an earring.

Forced entry was made by means of cutting a window screen on the upper level of the dwelling.

Stearns County Sheriff: Theft of Fuel

On June 26, the SCSO received a report of stolen diesel fuel from construction equipment in St. Joseph Twp.  Construction trucks had been parked near Borgert Concrete between St. Joseph and Waite Park, during the night unknown persons entered the area and drained the tanks on the trucks.  Tire tracks at the scene indicated a dually pickup was used to complete the theft.  Estimated loss of fuel is approximately 1000 gallons.  Persons with information are asked to contact Crime Stoppers.

Stearns County Sheriff: Theft of Canoe


The Stearns County Sheriff is investigating the theft of canoe from an SJU student on 6-26-08. Taken was a Galyans woodsman 16 foot canoe  green in color.  MN Lic 4238 and St. John `s permit #02071 taken from the shore of lake Sagatagan .   $800 value.  Cigarette burn in fiberglass by one of the seats.  Happened within past week.
 
Stearns County Sheriff: Stolen ATV

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a June 26th report of a stolen ATV. The ATV was taken just north of the intersection of 83rd Ave and Co Rd 146.  The ATV was chained to a wooden post.   Suspects removed wood post from the ground and took the chain and all.  It was chained by a 3/8" chain.  It was chained through the nerf bars and front swing arm. There is no registration or VIN numbers. 
 
The ATV built from the ground up and has several custom parts.  Here is the best description i could get

back bumper is bent and handlebar guard has American flag on it

St. Cloud Police: Attempted Business Burglary

On 06/23/08 at approximately 0027 hours officers were dispatched 3535 West St. Germain Street for an alarm. Upon arrival officers discovered that unknown suspect(s) had attempted to make entry into the rear door of the business, but were unsuccessful. No suspects were located.

St. Cloud Police: Theft from Vehicles

On 06/20/08 at approximately 0435 hours officers of the St. Cloud Police Department were dispatched to the 1500 block of East St. Germain Street for a theft from vehicle complaint,

Officers learned that two vehicles had been rummaged through and several electronic items had been taken.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 06/19/08 at approximately 1815 hours officers were dispatched to a burglary call in the 3300 block of 14th Street North. Investigation revealed that entry was made through a window and numerous items were taken including an Xbox game system, a Playstation II game system, a Playstation III game system, and a Dell laptop.
