Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of July 14, 2008
St. Cloud Police: Burglary and Assault with injuries
On 07/15/08 at approximately 0418 hours officers were dispatched to the
1200 block of 11th Avenue North reference an assault, which was ultimately
determined to be a burglary, as well.
The victim, an 18 year old St. Cloud resident, had been confronted outside
of his residence by acquaintances Travis Michael McKinney, a 20 year old,
and Nathan James Ramon Morgan, an 18 year old St. Cloud resident who
forced their way into the victim's residence, where they proceeded to
assault him. The victim was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for non
life-threatening injuries.
As of the time of true report, neither suspect has been located. This case
will be sent over to the Steams County Attorney's office for the issuance
of a warrant for 1st degree burglary for both Ramon-Morgan and McKinney.

St. Cloud Police: Felony Theft
On 07/15/08 at approximately 1336 hours officers were dispatched to
Macy's, 4201 Division Street West, for a shoplifting in progress
complaint. Officers were advised that the male later identified as Dewayne
NMN Smith, age 45 of St. Cloud, had taken items out of the bedding
department and placed them in the back of his car and had reentered
Macy's.
Officers were advised that on several occasions in the past Smith had
committed the same offenses. Smith was later apprehended and brought to
the Stearns County Jail and held for court on felon theft.

St. Cloud Police: Residential
Burglary and Theft
On 07/15/08 at 2040 hours officers took a complaint of a burglary in the
1200 block of 6th Avenue South. Officers learned that this burglary
occurred between 07/01/08 at 2030 hours and 07/02/08 at 0700 hours.
There were no signs of forced entry but a laptop computer was taken.
Several days later a male in his early 30's, described as heavyset with
light brown extremely short hair, was seen looking in the windows. This
male also was driving a black motorized stand-up scooter with a seat on
it.

Waite Park Police: 4 – Case
Summaries
Damage to Property
On 7/13/08 Waite Park Police Department received a report of tires slashed
in the Tri County Mobile Home Park. 7 total tires were slashed on 5
different vehicles.
Burglary
On 7/8/08 Waite Park Police Department
responded to a report of a burglary on the 1200 blk of 3rd St N. The
complainant stated that someone took a guitar, bass guitar, and DVD’s from
the home. The theft happened sometime between 6/30/08 and 7/7/08.
Theft of Bike
On 7/8/08 Waite Park Police Department received a call of a stolen bike.
The complainant stated that he went into the Casey’s Store on 10th Ave S
for a couple minutes. When he returned his bike was gone. The bike is
described as a brown Haro Series F4 with pegs in the front and back. The
bike also has a Chevy sticker on it.
Theft
On 7/9/08 the Waite Park Police Department received a report of two trucks
that were entered on the 2300 blk of County Road 137. Taken from the
trucks was a converter, AM/FM radio, and a CB radio.
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 07/11/08 at approximately 2021 hours officers were dispatched to the
900 block of 10th Avenue South, for a burglary report. Investigation
revealed that sometime between the hours of 1640 and 1930 on 07/11/08
entry was made into the residence by breaking a lower level window.
Stolen were TVs, computers, and gaming systems.
St. Cloud Police: Found Watch
At 1155 hours on July 13 2008, a watch was found in the restroom at the
First Fuel Bank, 625 Lincoln Avenue Southeast. The owner may Claim the
watch by coming down to the St. C1oud Police Department and identifying it
Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
St. Cloud Police: Bomb Threat
On 07/09/08 at approximately 1508 hours officers responded to Electrolux,
701 33rd Avenue North, on a reported bomb threat. Electrolux staff had
received a threat from an unknown caller who indicated that there was a
bomb in or around the Electrolux plant.
St. Cloud Fire and Sherburne County K-9 bomb detection dog responded to
assist. The building was searched and no explosive devices were found. To
ensure the safety of all Electrolux employees, management evacuated the
building for approximately one hour. The investigation continues by St.
Cloud Police.
