Stearns County Sheriff: 3 – Residential Burglaries

On Wednesday, July 23rd, Stearns County deputies received reports of three residential burglaries, one of which was interrupted by the homeowner.

Deputies were called at 2:06 p.m. Monday to a home in Maine Prairie Township, northwest of Kimball. A homeowner arrived home and noticed an unfamiliar, small green car in the driveway. The homeowner saw two men inside the home. The men quickly left once they were discovered. He did not recognize the men.

Officers searched the area and found evidence and information about the suspects.

The Sheriff’s Department believes this burglary may be related to two others reported Wednesday.

Witnesses gave varying descriptors on the vehicle as it being green to bluish green.  John Sanner said those burglaries involved a small blue-green car occupied by two men.

Sheriff Sanner reminds residents to lock their doors and windows when they are not home and to tell their neighbors if they are going to be gone for an extended period of time.

Officers describe the suspects as white men in their 20s. One was 5-feet-10-inches tall to 6-feet tall, with dark hair and wearing dark-colored clothing. The second man was about 5-feet-7-inches tall, wearing a T-shirt and darker clothing.
