reporting to it’s arsenal of tools for use by citizens to anonymously
submit tips on unsolved crimes in the tri-counties of Benton, Stearns and
Sherburne.

Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of August 11, 2008
St. Cloud Police: Burglary and
Theft
Between 08/09/08 and 08/11/08 the St. Cloud Bakery was burglarized. An
undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Anyone with information is requested ca1l the St. Cloud Police Department
at (320) 251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 255-1301.
St. Cloud Police:
Attempted Robbery
On 08/12/08 at approximately 2307 hours officers were dispatched to the
200 block of 8th Street South, in reference to an attempted robbery.
The victim, a 31 year old Sauk Rapids resident, reported that he was
sitting in a vehicle when he was approached by three unknown males. One of
the males demanded that the victim give him his laptop and then punched
him in the face when he refused. The victim drove away and no items were
taken.
The victim described one of the suspects as being a black male in his
younger teens, approximately 5' 5", and wearing a long sleeve black shirt
with white designs on the bottom, dark colored pants, and a maroon hockey
mask over his face.
The other two suspects were only described as wearing dark clothing.
St. Cloud Police:
Residential Burglary and Theft
On 08/13/08 at approximately 1651 hours officers were dispatched to the
1300 block of University Drive Southeast, in reference to a burglary.
Investigation revealed that an unknown person(s) had cut a screen on a
window and entered the residence. Once inside the residence a 42" LCD
television was taken and the suspect(s) exited through the front door.
St. Cloud Police:
Business Burglary and Theft
On 08/13/08 at 2021 hours officer were dispatched to 70 37th Avenue South,
Days Inn, for a burglary complaint.
Investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) were able to obtain a key
for Room 243 and entered the room without permission. Money was taken from
the room while the occupants were away.

St. Cloud Police: Aggravated
Assault
On O8/08/08 at approximately 2219 hours officers were dispatched to the
1500 block of 16th Street South, in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim, a 52 year old resident
of St. Cloud, who stated he had been assaulted from behind by a black
male. The black male was said to be approximately 6' and 200 pounds. The
victim was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for non life-threatening
injuries.

St. Cloud Police:
Residential Burglary and Theft
On 08/08/08 at approximately 2250 hours, officers were dispatched to the
1300 block of 6th Avenue South to take a report of a burglary.
Sometime between the hour, of noon and 8:30 p.m., someone entered the
residence by ripping the screen out of an open window and took a black
Gateway computer and a black Playstation II.
It is believed the suspects exited the residence the same way they came
and it is believed no one was in the residence at the time of the
burglary. Neighbors in the area did not see anything suspicious in the
area at that time.
St. Cloud Police:
Felony Possession of Stolen Property
On 08/06/08 officers of the St. Cloud Police Department conducted a search
for stolen property at 126 20th Avenue North. A 48 year old male was
arrested for possession of stolen property.
Recovered during the search were several lawn and garden items, and
several items of construction equipment that are unable to be identified
due to the serial numbers being removed.
The St. Cloud Police Department asks that recent theft victims of similar
items contact the police department information desk at 650-3830 in an
attempt to identify their missing property.
