Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of September 1, 2008

St. Cloud Police: Robbery and Theft

On 09/02/08 at approximately 2340 hours, officers were dispatched to a robbery in the 100 bock of 7th Avenue Southeast. Investigation revealed that a. 29-year old female of St. Cloud was riding her bicycle on 7th Avenue Southeast when she was pushed off the bicycle from behind.

The suspect, described as a male approximately six feet tall, 180 to 190 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, green jacket pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The suspect took cash from the victim and ran south on 7th Avenue Southeast. The victim was not injured during the incident. Officers checked the area with the assistance of Waite Park K9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspect.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property

On 09/02/08 at approximately 1820 hours, officers were dispatched to the 400 b1ock of 22nd Avenue North, for a burglary. Investigation revealed that sometime between 08/31/08 and 09/02/08, unknown person(s) entered a residence and caused damage inside. The residence was unoccupied at the time and nothing was taken. There was no force used, and it is believed entry was made through an unlocked door.

St. Cloud Police: Armed Robbery and Theft

On 03/03/08 at approximately 2l49 hours officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 131h Avenue Southeast, in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival officers met with a 24-year-old victim of St. Cloud, who advised officers he was robbed at gun Point by two males. After taking the victim's wallet and cell phone the suspects fled on foot to the east. A replica gun was recovered' the 800 block of 15111 Avenue Southeast. The case is currently under investigation. St. Cloud. The Police Department was assisted by the Benton County Canine Unit.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Vehicle Theft

On 9-4-08 officers responded to a. theft of an ATV in an unsecured garage. Investigation revealed that a 2003 Honda, yellow in color, model TRX400BX, was taken from a residence in the 1800 block of County Road 134 on either 09/02/08 or 09/03/08.

The complainant followed the tracks to a neighbor's re5idence, where he suspected the ATV was then transported to another location.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft from Vehicle

On 9-4-08 officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of County Road 120 for a burglary complaint. Investigation revealed that forced entry was gained through a door into a garage with a screwdriver being suspected used to gain entry. Numerous CD's were taken from a motor vehicle inside of the garage.

Attempted entry was observed in three separate doors that led into garages; however, it is unknown if anything was taken from these garages.

St. Cloud Police: Gunshots with Damage to Property

On 08/31/08 at approximately 0225 hours, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of 13th Avenue Southeast for A gunshot complaint.

Investigation revealed that unknown individual(s) fired approximately nine shots through the window and siding of the residence. No one was injured during the incident and it is unknown who committed the crime.

It is believed this was a targeted residence and was not selected at random.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft


On 08/30/08 at approximately 2356 hour’s officers responded to the 900 block of 5th Avenue South, in reference to a burglary.

Investigation revealed that sometime between the hours of 1730 and 2315 entry was made into a residence through a back door and back window as both showed signs of forced entry.

Stolen were a computer, a digital recording device, a microphone, blank checks, and cash.

St. Cloud Police: Theft of Gas Tanks


On 09/01/08 officers responded to numerous thefts of gas tanks from boats on the north side of St. Cloud. In all instances the boats were covered and parked near the alleyway in the rear of the homes.

There have been no arrests made in these cases, Citizens are encouraged to secure their belongings from their boats and phone police with information of any suspicious persons in the alleyways.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft


On 09/01/08 at approximately 0209 hour’s, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 9th Avenue South, for a burglary complaint.

Investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) entered an unoccupied residence through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole multiple items, including a Sony digital camera, 32 inch Insignia television, Sony VIO laptop, bed sheets, an iPod with stand and speakers, a Nintendo DS game system, a Panasonic SD500 camcorder, a gray and black backpack, a Sony PSP game system, and cash from the residence.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Attempted Theft

On 08/29/08 at approximately 0130 hours a 20-year-old St, Cloud State student reported that a white male had entered her room and attempted to steal her laptop computer and Wii play system while she was sleeping. The victim scared the suspect out of the residence and the suspect fled out the unlocked backdoor before calling police.

So far police have been unable to locate the white male, who was described as 16-20 years old, slender build, wearing a basketball jersey and a dark colored baseball cap.

St. Cloud Police: Armed Robbery and Theft


On 08/09/08 at approximately 0230 hours officer were dispatched to the 1800 block of 16th Street Southeast for a robbery. A 19 year-old victim from St. Cloud stated that he was robbed at gun point and items were taken from his person.

St. Cloud Police: Theft


On 08/28/08 St, Cloud Police took a report of stolen manhole covers in the area of Traverse Road & Cooper Avenue. The Street Department found as many as 11 stolen drain covers and manhole covers stolen from the previous evening.

Besides the potential hazard, the loss is valued at $2,500. No suspects at this time and metal recycling plants were notified. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the St, Cloud Police Department at (320) 251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at (320) 255-1301.
