Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of January 5, 2009

St. Cloud Police: Stolen Vehicle

On 1/8/09 at approximately 0626 hours, officers responded to the 1200 block of Washington Memorial Drive for the complaint of a stolen vehicle.

Investigation revealed that an unknown person entered an unlocked garage and stole a white 1993 GMC Jimmy bearing Minnesota license number NNN-ll3.

The 44 year old St. Cloud victim stated the keys were inside the vehicle at the time and the vehicle would have been taken sometime between 1815 hours on 1/7/09 and 0626 hours on 1/8/09. No other items were taken from the garage.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 01/05/09 at 1845 hours, officers were dispatched to a burglary in the 300 block of 32nd Avenue North. It was learned that a burglary had occurred between 10:30am and 6:45pm on 1/5/09. Suspects forced their way into the residence and had stolen cash and a 3030 caliber lever action rifle.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the St. Cloud Police Department and residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.

Waite Park Police: Construction Site Theft

On Saturday January 3, 2009 around 11:25 pm two suspects in a dark truck, either regular cab or extended cab, pulled into a construction site and took 10-15 sheets of plywood. The construction site is located at the 3300 block of County Road 138.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 01/06/09 at approximately 0013 hours, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 34th Avenue North, for a burglary. Investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) had forced entry into a residence and stole a computer and money. No one was home at the time of the incident.

Waite Park Police: Business Burglary, Damage to Property and Theft

On 1-5-09 at 0331 hours Waite Park Officers were dispatched to a report of an alarm at the Youth Shelter Supply located at 71 3rd Street NE. Upon arrival the officers found the front window smashed out. Taken from the business were 9 snowboards valued at between $300 and $500 each.
The snowboards are described as follows

1- Rome Manual 153 cm
1- Rome Machine 159 cm
1- Forum Scheme 162 cm
1- Capita Blackdeath Inc 162 cm

St. Cloud Police: Person with a gun

On 01/01/09 at 2201 hours officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of 9th Avenue South reference a person with a gun. Witnesses described the person as a black male approximately in his late teens to early 20’s, six feet tall, 200 to 220 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, dark pants, and holding a black or silver handgun. Witnesses advised that the male was lurking outside an apartment in this area causing them to leave the area in fear for their safety before calling police.

Officers cheeked the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him at this time. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 320-255-1301.
