Waite Park Police: Aggravated Assault
On 3/25/09 at 0025 hours WPPD officers were
called to an assault complaint. A female was walking towards her car in
the parking lot at 236 2nd Ave S City of Waite Park. She stated that a red
Chevrolet car "sporty" hit the front of her car. She stated the white male
driver got out of his car, displayed a switchblade knife and told her not
to call anyone. The male left the area and the victim was not physically
harmed.
The victim described the male as white in mid 20's about 5-8 to 5-10 and
skinny build. He was wearing baggy blue jeans and a t-shirt. He was not
wearing a bb cap and did not have glasses or facial hair. At this time we
have no reason to believe the parties knew each other. Investigation
continues.

St. Cloud Police: Stolen Vehicle
On 03(23/09 at approximately 1217 hours
officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of 1st Street North for a
stolen vehicle complaint.
The owner of General Rental Center reported that a truck belonging to the
business had been stolen. The theft occurred sometime between 03/21/09 at
1600 hours and 03/23/09 at 1200 hours. The truck, bearing Minnesota
license LAC068, was described as a 1999 Chevrolet three quarter ton
pickup, tan in color, with a regular cab and a ladder rack in the pickup
bed. The truck is used for deliveries and is not rented to the general
public. The truck bears no markings of the business.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to

Waite Park Police: Armed Robbery
On 03/20/09 at 0238 hrs, Waite Park Officers responded to an armed robbery
complaint at 340 2nd Ave. South in the parking lot. Four parties were
robbed while sitting in their vehicle. Knives and a hand gun were used
during the robbery in which cell phones and cash were taken.
One of the victims was punched in the face by one of the suspects but did
not require hospitalization. None of the other three victims reported
being physically hurt. St. Cloud PD and Stearns County Sheriff's
Department assisted.
The suspects were described as three white males and a black male:
White male #1: was described as shorter, longer dark brown hair, thin
goatee.
White male #2: average sized male with shaved head and slimmer face
White male #3: taller with a thin build wearing a black stocking cap with
brown hair showing
Black male suspect: wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, wide nose, short afro
style haircut, facial hair and a more husky build.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and
Theft
On 03/20/09 at approximately 0213 hours, officers were dispatched to the
900 block of 7th Avenue South for a burglary. Upon arrival, officers made
contact with the victim, who stated his computer had been stolen sometime
between 1800 hours and 2000 hours. The victim believed the suspect(s)
gained entrance through an unlocked front door. No other items were taken
during the burglary.

Residents are encouraged to keep all doors and windows locked and to keep
valuables out of plain view. Residents are also encouraged to contact the
St. Cloud Police Department regarding any suspicious activity.
Melrose Police: Terroristic Threats
(From week of March 16, 2009)
On February 11th, a message was discovered at the Melrose Area High School
that threatened a staff member. The threat was written on a bathroom
stall wall in the boy’s bathroom near the media center. The message was
written with a specific staff member mentioned and also gave the date
February 13th, 2009. Friday the thirteenth.
