St. Cloud Police: 5 – Arson Fires

On 4/14/09 at approximately 0052 hours officers responded to the 900 block of 13th Avenue North for a fire complaint. Officers observed a bag of garbage that had been set on fire.

Within a 15 minute time period, four other fires were reported, all along the 8th Street North corridor from 13th Avenue North to 25th Avenue North.

A total of five fires were set to garbage bags or cans. Officers checked the area for potential suspects but found no one. The St. Cloud Fire Department assisted in extinguishing the fires.

Stearns County Sheriff: Theft of Equipment

Sometime between 3/28/09 at 8:00 p.m. and 3/29/09 at 11:00 a.m. person/persons drove onto a residential property on County Road 3 in Brockway Twp and stole the following items after possibly loading them into a pick-up truck:
 
-Red 1985 Honda 200S 3-Wheeler ATV-mint condition 
-Stihl Brand Chainsaw-Orange/White
-Stihl Brand Backpack Blower-Orange/White
-Stihl Brand Leaf Vacuum-Orange/White

St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary and Theft

On 04/04/09 at 0730 hours officers were dispatched to the warming house by Lake George for a burglary. MNDOT is currently using the building as an office. Some time between 1800 hours on 04/03/09 and 0730 hours on 04/04/09, unknown suspect(s) threw a rock through a ground level window.

The suspect(s) stole two laptop computers, as well as two flat screen TVs. The crime scene was processed and the investigation is continuing.
