St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 07/15/09 at approximately 1958 hours, officers were dispatched to the
400 block of 17th Avenue North for a burglary report. Investigation
revealed that unknown suspect(s) gained entry into a residence through an
unlocked window and took a portable DVD player. No one was in the
residence at the time of the burglary and no one was injured as a result
of the incident.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 07/15/09 at approximately 19.53 hours officers were dispatched to the
1500 block of Clearwater Road for a burglary report. Investigation
revealed that someone had kicked in the door to the residence and had
stolen numerous items from within. This burglary occurred between 1215
hours and 1835 hours.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 07/15/09 officers responded to the 1600 block of 37th Street South for
a burglary report. Investigation revealed that someone had entered the
garage of a residence and had stolen items from the garage. It is believed
that this burglary occurred some time in the earlier hours of 07/14/09.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 07/12/09 at approximately 1152 hours officers were dispatched to the
600 block of 7th Avenue South in reference to a burglary complaint. Upon
arrival, officers learned between the hours of 1430 on 07/10/09 and 1100
hours on 07/12/09, that an unknown suspect entered into an unoccupied
residence and stole electronic devices.
Stolen was a television valued at $ 1,000.00 and a laptop valued at
$500.00. The description of the TV is a 42" Vizeo, solid black in color
with a gray coloring on the bottom over the speaker. The laptop is
described as a Dell Inspiron 1501 being gray with black underneath and
having a Justin Morneau baseball sticker and a bull dog sticker.

St. Cloud Police: Aggravated Robbery with Injuries
On 07/12/09 at approximately 0140 hours, officers were dispatched to the
300 block of 7th Avenue South for a robbery complaint. Officers met with a
22 year-old St. Cloud resident who stated he was assaulted by two males
while walking home from the downtown bar area. The victim stated he
witnessed one white male and one black male walking north on the sidewalk
at a very rapid pace.
He stated the white male struck him several times in the chest and
demanded all of his money. The victim stated the black male then grabbed
his wallet, and both suspects fled northeast from the scene after knocking
his glasses off. The victim sustained only minor injuries and did not
require medical attention.
The white male was described as being 21 years of age, approximately 5'9"
with a medium build, wearing a white t-shirt, light-colored blue jeans,
and a white baseball cap tilted back and to the side. The white male had
short, spiky blonde hair.
The black male was described as being 20 years of age, approximately 5'7"
with a medium build, wearing a green shirt and dark jeans with very short
black hair.

Residents are encouraged to walk in pairs or groups and to stay in
well-lit areas.
National Night Out in St. Cloud
On Monday, July 27, 2009 St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis will proclaim Tuesday,
August 4,2009 to be "National Night Out in the City of St. Cloud.
Minnesota".
On Tuesday, August 4, 2009 neighborhoods throughout St. Cloud will join
forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the "26th Annual
National Night Out" (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out is designed to:
* Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
* Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts;
* Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships;
* Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are
organized and fighting back;
From 6 to 10 p.m. on August 4, 2009 residents in neighborhoods throughout
St. Cloud and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on
outside lights and spend the evening with neighbors and police. Many
neighborhoods throughout St. Cloud will hosting a variety of special
events such as block parties, cookouts, contests, youth activities and
anti-crime rallies. St. Cloud Police Officers, Firefighters and other
public safety personnel will visit these activities.
St. Cloud Fire Department: Vehicle Fire
(From week of 7-6-09)
The fire
department was called to 1933 West Division Street at 4:10 PM Sunday for a
car fire behind the building. The fire department arrived on scene three
minutes later to a fire that fully involved the passenger compartment of a
2002 Dodge Neon. The vehicle and contents were a total loss.
The cause of the fire is undetermined, however, the driver side window of
the vehicle was left open and fireworks have not been eliminated as a
cause.

information leading to the identification of persons responsible for this

St. Cloud Police: Arson and Criminal Damage to Property
(From Week of 7-6-09)
On
06/29/09 at approximately 2029 hours officers were dispatched to the 1500
block of Northway Drive for an arson.
Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect had entered a building and
had started a fire in the stairwell. The fire caused extensive damage to
the carpeting and a door. No injuries were reported.
