release St. Cloud Police: Assault,
Stabbing
On 01/15/10 at 0305 hours officers were dispatched to Ramsey Place on 5th
Avenue South for a male who had been stabbed in the stomach. Officers
located a 31-year-old male St. Cloud resident who stated that a white male
in his early 20s had assaulted him.
Through investigation officers learned that the victim and the suspect had
been walking towards each other on the sidewalk and engaged in a mutual
verbal and physical confrontation over who should move for the other
person. After the confrontation ended the victim learned that he had minor
non life-threatening stab wounds to his stomach.
Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department
at 251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 255-1301.
St. Cloud Police: Assault, 2 Stabbings
On 01/17/10 at approximately 0312 hours, officers were dispatched to 5th
Avenue and 7th Street South, for an assault complaint where the victim had
possibly been stabbed.
The investigation revealed that there were actually two victims who had
been stabbed during two different incidents in the same area (the 500
block of 7th Street South).
Both victims, white males from St. Cloud, were transported to the St.
Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance. Both remain hospitalized from
their injuries. At this time the names of the victims are not being
released for their safety and due to an ongoing investigation.
Update 1800 hours:
On 1/17/10 at approximately 1600 hours, a suspect was taken in to custody
in the City of Clearwater for 1st degree assault and 2nd degree assault.
He was transported to the Stearns County where he is being held for court.

Remain hospitalized.
At this time authorities are not looking for any other suspects in this
case. Anyone with information regarding these crimes is asked to contact

Stearns County Sheriff: Theft
On 1-14-10, it was reported to the Stearns County Sheriffs office that a
thaw dawg and 40 lb LP tank was stolen from a job site in the city of
Rockville. The thaw dawg is used to remove frost from the ground and is
described as being approximately 4 ft x 6 ft and approx 10 inches high,
weighing approximately 50 pounds. Becker Police: Residential
Burglary and Theft
On 01/10/10 at approximately 1947 hours, the Becker Police responded to
the 14000 block of Cottonwood Blvd, on a report of a Burglary.

Investigation revealed that while the owners of the residence were away,
unknown person(s) entered the residence and garage areas and removed
without permission a large amount of electronics valued between $7,500 and
$10,000. - Damage was also done to the residence and also to a vehicle
parked in the garage area.
A white 4-door sedan was observed in the area when the burglary was said
to have occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
The Becker Police Department is looking for any information related to
this burglary. If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the

St. Cloud Police: Attempted Scam
On 01/11/10 at approximately 1800 hours officers were dispatched to the
3100 block of Crescent Ridge Trail in reference to a matter of information
complaint. Officers met with the elderly complainant who stated she had
received several phone calls letters in the mail stating she had won large
amounts of money.
When the complainant advised she was contacting the police the individual
on the other end of the line got angry and asked why she had to do that.
The male was unable or unwilling to provide further company information.
The St. Cloud Police Department would like to remind individuals to not
provide personal information or money to unknown individuals as they are
often not legitimate.
