reporting to it’s arsenal of tools for use by citizens to anonymously
submit tips on unsolved crimes in the tri-counties of Benton, Stearns and
Sherburne.

Create CommUNITY: Bias/Hate Crimes Reward Offer
Create CommUNITY is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information on
unsolved bias/hate crimes in the tri-county area. This information must
lead to an arrest and/or formal charging of the person or persons
responsible for committing the bias/hate crimes.
Tri-County Crime Stoppers is coordinating the processing of tips,
protecting the anonymity of the tipster and the payment of any rewards.

Create CommUNITY bases the definition of “bias offense” according to the
Minnesota State Statute, as the conduct that would constitute a crime and
was committed because of the victim’s or another’s actual or perceived
race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability as defined in
Minnesota State Statute section 363A.03, age or national origin.
Waite Park Police: Aggravated Robbery
and Theft
On 1/20/08 a Brainerd woman reported that she had been robbed at
knifepoint on
1/18/08. She reported she was at the McDonald's at Highway 23 and 2nd
Street South in Waite Park. She was in her car with some male
acquaintances when one of the men held something to her throat. She
believed the man held a knife to her throat and told her not to move while
another man stole her belongings.
The incident happened on 1/18/08 and she waited to report the crime until
1/20/08.
St. Cloud Police: Residential
Burglary and Theft
On 01/20/08 at approximately 1910 hours officers were dispatched to the
1700 block of 16th Street Southeast in reference to a burglary complaint.
Investigation revealed that an unknown individual or individuals had
entered a residence and stole a laptop computer and other electronic
items.
The St. Cloud Police Department is also encouraging people to make sure
they lock their doors.
St. Cloud Police: Aggravated Robbery and Theft
On 01/19/08 at approximately 0209 hours, officers were dispatched to 300
block of Laudenbach Court in reference to a robbery. Investigation
revealed that a pizza delivery person was robbed at knife-point and two
pizzas were stolen.
Both suspects were described as white males. One of the suspects was
approximately 5'10" to 5'11” and 170 pounds with dark hair.
The second suspect was described as 6'2” and 220 pounds with blonde hair.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the
St. Cloud Police at (320) 251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at (320) 255-1301.
The pizza delivery person was not injured in this incident.
Stearns County Sheriff: Criminal Damage to Property
The SCSO received criminal damage to property reports in the City Of
Rockville. The damage happened during the night of 1/14/08. Unknown
person had caused significant damage by shooting out windows with a pellet
or bb gun. 10 windows were damaged at the Rockville Fire Station, and the
rear window of a pickup was shot out nearby. Persons with information are
asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
St. Cloud Police: Robbery, Assault and
Theft
On 01/17/08 at approximately 0122 hours officers were dispatched to an
apartment building in the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North for a robbery.
Further investigation revealed that the victim, a 26 year old male
resident of St. Cloud, had been robbed by four Somali males that he did
not know. The suspects punched and kicked the victim and took his cell
phone.
St. Cloud Police: Robbery, Assault and Theft

Waite Park Police: Robbery and Theft
Waite Park Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at
approximately 4:00 pm on Monday, Jan 14th outside Cash Wise Foods, 113
Waite Avenue S. The robbery occurred outside the deli entrance. The male
victim was approached by a black male in his 40’s asking for money to help
him fix his car, as the victim reached for money in his wallet the male
suspect grabbed all of the victim’s cash and ran off, leaving the area in
4 dr 90’s Buick or Oldsmobile blue car. The license plate was white with
green lettering and also had a picture of an orange or a peach on it. This
is not a Minnesota license plate, but is believed to be either Georgia or
Florida.
The black male suspect is described as wearing a black cotton style hat
with a bill, longer black coat to about the suspect’s knees and gold wire
rimmed sunglasses. The suspect also has a thin mustache.
