reporting to it’s arsenal of tools for use by citizens to anonymously
submit tips on unsolved crimes in the tri-counties of Benton, Stearns and
Sherburne.

Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of January 28, 2008
Create CommUNITY: Bias/Hate Crimes Reward Offer
Create CommUNITY is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information on
unsolved bias/hate crimes in the tri-county area. This information must
lead to an arrest and/or formal charging of the person or persons
responsible for committing the bias/hate crimes.
Tri-County Crime Stoppers is coordinating the processing of tips,
protecting the anonymity of the tipster and the payment of any rewards.
tCreate CommUNITY bases the definition of “bias offense” according to the
Minnesota State Statute, as the conduct that would constitute a crime and
was committed because of the victim’s or another’s actual or perceived
race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability as defined in
Minnesota State Statute section 363A.03, age or national origin.
St. Cloud Police: Apartment Building Burglary, Damage to Property
and Theft

On 1-23-08 between 0106 hours and 0118
hours an unknown male entered the lobby area of Germain Towers at 905 St.
Germain Street W. This male kicked and beat on the security system that
controlled the door entry. The male then ripped the security system out of
the wall and left the area with it. The system was recovered less then a
block away and returned to HRA Housing. Police Department has obtained
photos of the suspect and is looking for assistance in identifying the

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft
On 01/28/08 St. Cloud Police officers were dispatched to the 10 block of
19th Avenue South for a report of a burglary. Investigation revealed that
the suspect(s) forced entry through a main floor door into the residence.
Stolen from inside the residence were a large flat screen TV, a computer
tower, and a motorized mini motorized dirt bike. The investigation is
ongoing.
Sartell Police: 2 – Case Summaries
Tuesday, January 22
8:10 p.m. Property damage, 200 block of 10th Street North. Rear window of
vehicle was smashed out while it was parked in the driveway. Nothing
reported missing from the vehicle.
Sunday, January 27
3:08 p.m. Criminal damage and theft, 2200 block of Troop Drive. Exterior
mirrors were broken and a 10-inch Alpine subwoofer, two speakers and a
speaker box were stolen from a vehicle that had been parked in the parking
lot.
St. Cloud Police: Robbery,
Assault and Theft
On 01/27/08 at approximately 0621 hours officers were dispatched to 500
block of 8th Avenue South to meet with the complainant of a robbery. The
victim male, age 22 of St. Cloud, advised that as he was walking home from
SCSU he was approached by seven to eight males. One of the males struck
him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The other males began
punching him while on the ground and one had taken his laptop compute and
brown book bag.
The victim was able to get away and contact police but was unable to give
a description of any of the Suspects. The victim was transported by Gold
Cross to St. Cloud Hospital and treated for his injuries.
