reporting to it’s arsenal of tools for use by citizens to anonymously
submit tips on unsolved crimes in the tri-counties of Benton, Stearns and
Sherburne.

Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of February 4, 2008
Create CommUNITY: Bias/Hate Crimes Reward Offer
Create CommUNITY is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information on
unsolved bias/hate crimes in the tri-county area. This information must
lead to an arrest and/or formal charging of the person or persons
responsible for committing the bias/hate crimes.
Tri-County Crime Stoppers is coordinating the processing of tips,
protecting the anonymity of the tipster and the payment of any rewards.
Create CommUNITY bases the definition of “bias offense” according to the
Minnesota State Statute, as the conduct that would constitute a crime and
was committed because of the victim’s or another’s actual or perceived
race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability as defined in
Minnesota State Statute section 363A.03, age or national origin.
St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary
and Theft
On 02/04/08 officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Saint-Germain
Street West for a burglary complaint. The suspects gained entry through a
rear door. An undisclosed amount of cash and numerous tools were stolen
from inside.
Benton County Sheriff: Multiple
Garage Burglaries and Vehicle Thefts
The Benton County Sheriff's Office is investigating several garage
burglaries and two vehic1e thefts that occurred in Minden Township this
past weekend. The thefts occurred and were reported on Saturday and Sunday
2/2-3/08. Both vehicles have been recovered.
A Benton County deputy located one of them a stolen pickup while enroute
to one of the calls. The pickup was returned to the owner. The second
vehicle a 1993 Saturn was also recovered and had been abandoned in a
parking lot at 1500 East St Germain St. Saint Cloud.
Missing property reported missing:
Eskimo Ice Auger, fish house heater, two 50cc Honda dirt bikes, fishing
equipment, athletic equipment and numerous miscellaneous items.
A suspicious full size Chevy Green pickup was reported to being seen in
the neighborhood it is unknown if the pickup is involved in the thefts.
Sartell Police: 3 – Case Summaries
Monday, January 28
7:47 p.m. Burglary, JK Storage. Suspect(s) cut the bolt lever to the
storage unit. Police are investigating.
Thursday, January 31
12:03 p.m. Theft. Adult female reported the theft of cash from her purse
while she was sleeping. The female advised police that she had an adult
male guest overnight whom she suspected. No indication of forced entry.
Saturday, February 2
10:00 a.m. Theft. Adult female reported the theft of her purse and cash
from her residence during the early morning hours. The female advised
officers that she had an overnight male guest whom she suspected of taking
the items. No sign of forced entry.
St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary and Theft
On 02/03/08 at approximately 0452 hours Officers were dispatched to the
Best-Mart at 1725 7th Street South in reference to a burglary complaint.
Through investigation it was determined that unknown suspects made entry
to the business through forced entry of the business door. Approximately
$100.00 in cash was taken from a cash drawer in the business.
St. Cloud Police: Apartment Building Burglary, Damage to Property
and Theft (From week of 1-28-08)

On 1-23-08 between 0106 hours and 0118
hours an unknown male entered the lobby area of Germain Towers at 905 St.
Germain Street W. This male kicked and beat on the security system that
controlled the door entry. The male then ripped the security system out of
the wall and left the area with it. The system was recovered less then a
block away and returned to HRA Housing. Police Department has obtained
photos of the suspect and is looking for assistance in identifying the
